Fiordland is one of the most dramatic and beautiful parts of New Zealand. Carved by glaciers over 100,000 years the landscape is one where waterfalls cascade hundreds of metres into deep black fiords; where ancient rainforest clings to mountains and where shimmering lakes and granite peaks look as they did a thousand years ago. Fiordland National Park is a World Heritage Site and includes Milford, Dusky and Doubtful Sounds. Thank you @teanauhelicopters for an incredible helicopter tour and @marcadamus for leading our group in NZ.

Slide scan #11. I found this little patch of aspens as I was driving home from a weekend at Mt. Timpanogos. I had another comp with the trees more centered in the frame, but that one came out just a little overexposed, so I chose to get this one scanned. I posted a digital stitch of an aspen grove a while back with some golden ferns that I actually like a bit better, but since I already had the stitch of that one I didn't want to pay for a scan of that one either. After printing that stitch out at 20" x 60" I now wish I had scanned it since it is noticeably less sharp than the film. Does the unbalanced comp bother you? I'm still not too sure how I feel about it. Velvia 50.

My friend's Taeyang Gyro, she's moving to a town an hour away for school, this photoshoot was our last until she can drive down. I'm going to miss her and her dollies soooo much, especially her Gyro <3 he's so adorable

in the Old Ausable Channel

The first killing frost of the season. The temperature fell to minus six Celsius overnight and even the hardiest of the late sunflowers fell too. Time to find the heavier jacket I guess.
