Photo taken near Lee Vining ,CA with a tripod mounted Nikon D7000 and a 35mm prime lense. I lightened the patches of trees at the top a little in Photoshop to make them stand out a bit more.

Rocky Fork has so many cascades, small waterfalls, and rocky drops, that one could spend many hours (like I did)
finding and photographing them.
I'm really loving the quality of this lens. Hoping to go back in a few weeks and see some additional color.

My first attempt with my new macro light. I like my new light, though it will require quite a bit more study!
Macro lights come in different styles. Mine is a ring which fits around the lens. With macro photography, it is good to have the light coming from the front on the object, rather than from above, which it would with the usual camera flash.
This is my Christmas cactus, oddly blooming again.
