The free tours inside the Murano glass factories was more impressive than I imagined. The glass masters work so quickly and efficiently. I was amazed by their artistry.

Insect Factory live at the Capitol Fringe Festival, Washington DC 16july11.

DFU factory at Figgjo was built in 1905.

Before the second world war they produced they produced wool socks, thermal underwear, other knit goods, sports clothing and some swimsuits in this factory.

“Figgjo swimsuits” was some of the finest that in Norway produced in the 50’s and the 60’s. This factory was the conductive swimsuit manufacturer in Norway and experimented both with strong colors, creative, cut and different fabrics.

At the most there was 220 people working at this factory, and it was closed down in 1981.

Near my 7th or 8th time down to this factory. Every time it gets a bit harder to get to the top! Some how I always find a new shot though. I took Margaux and Maggie with me this time they both were virgins. Nice Sunday trip with a visit to tap and mallet afterwards for a few beers and a pig roast!!
