The sun was setting after dinner and we took a quick ride to Collinsville were I had time to shoot a few shots. Had to improvise as I didn't have a tripod with me.
Postcard found in old album today whilst sorting through some cupboards upstairs. On the back someone has written " These are the men at work by the water grind stones. I have seen them- they do look funny."
Spotted between Hills Road and Station Road, this old factory was the outlook of a newish development of apartments.
Hideous though this brutalist building is, its actually listed....just like Bucks County Hall, another Listed eyesore.
The old China Factory in Coalport, Ironbridge, Shropshire, England.
At the back is one of the China kilns.
These buildings now house the China Museum of Ironbridge Gorge.

The factories on the other side of the river, of which this smoke stack belongs to one, were making strange noises which scared poor little Ruach.
In East Baltimore there is an old, not-quite-deserted Crown Cork and Seal Factory that once produced 40 billion bottle caps per year. Now it is a perfect place for some photos.
Factory 500 members tour Etna Studios and River Projects, and visit E Town Bar and Grille on October 18, 2014.
Route 24 heading east to Hanksville, Utah. Interesting country, but hard to access better shots with recent rains. We drove off road at one point to get closer to a vista, and when we were approaching asphalt drove over what appeared to be cracked, dry clay, only to learn that below that false solid ground was a thick layer of gushy mud. Fortunately we had enough momentum to reach the asphalt.
Built in 1918, the Torpedo Factory on Alexandria's waterfront once built torpedoes used to sink enemy warships in World War II. Today, the space is home to 165 visual artists who create paintings, ceramics, photography, jewelry and sculptures.
While driving down the street I noticed this car being detailed at Auto image Detailing in Melrose Ma. Dave the owner was pretty cool to allow me to take some pictures of the car.

Some old factory on Gutuevsky island, near Rizhsky bridge. Currently it's a part of Instirute of chemical caoutchouc.
The little black specks in the water are, I believe, geese. I couldn't actually make them out in detail but their voices gave them away.
The bright yellow reflection closest to the bottom of the image was made by a large group of geese swimming around in a scattered circular group. I don't know if they were feeding, keeping warm, playing or some other, known only to geese, activity.
The first butter factory in the Wairarapa was operated in Featherston by Mr. James Donald in 1881. He planned and built his own factory and named it Tarureka, or sweet herbs. Here was used for the first time in New Zealand a combined churn and butter worker.
