Dezember 2010 war ein sehr schneereiches Monat, wie man hier gut sehen kann. Leider lässt der Schnee in diesem Jahr etwas auf sich warten. Vielleicht wirds noch was, die Wettervoraussichten deuten auf Schnee hin.
December 2010 was a very rich snow month, as you can see here well. Unfortunately, the snow this year can be some time in coming. Maybe it gets even what the weather previsions indicate snow.

Anemones and anemone hepatica (at background) blooming in the forest. There were a lot of them :)

Probably one of the best kept secrets in the hills is the forest of Californian Redwoods, Sequoia sempervirens, a few kilometres outside Warburton,Victoria,Australia

When the sun is shining, I actually like autumn, the air is so crisp and calm, all the colours in the fields and forests, it's just fantastic!
Been awhile since I posted a b/w image.....this reminded me of the gloomy, mysterious and dangerous forest of JRR Tolkien in The Hobbit.
Actually it's a scene from the Hoh Rainforest's Hall of Mosses Trail. The color version in comments. Was a most wonderful hike, moody yet awe-inspiring.

Into the realm I found peace and kindness. I thought I would go to this hiking trail where I have been before. Seems like a great spot for some scenic wooded shots, and a wee bit of solitude.
(if you don't mind all the dog walkers with multiple dogs)
