I shoot forest and nature for about six years now. What started as a mere need for some textures for my art project is today a nice archive of all sorts of stuff. More and more I like to shoot nice views, not just flat surfaces without shadows and light. Since I've started to post photos online two years ago, the archive becomes to be a gallery. You guys showed me the way I've never thought to take. Millions of views, thousands of followers, many, many hearts. So... #thanks! Isn't that great to have Internet at your disposal?

We (that's me and Islay) enjoyed an amazing wild camp on the shore of Fionn Loch in this great wilderness before climbing arguably the remotest Munro in Scotland, A' Mhaighdean. Although devoid of humans, there was a plague of pesky midges! (My Nikon was yet again too heavy for my backpack!).
Alishan Forest Railway is an 86 km network of 2 ft 6 in (762 mm) narrow gauge railways running up to and throughout the popular mountain resort of Alishan in Chiayi County, Taiwan. The railway, originally constructed for logging, has become a tourist attraction with its unique Z-shaped switchbacks, and over 50 tunnels and 77 wooden bridges. Taiwan's Ministry of Culture has listed the forest railway as a potential World Heritage Site.
