Sunlight pours through the forest where the trees allow. At this time of the year, it is "golden" all day long...

 

Photo taken with the Olympus OM-D E-M1 and M.Zuiko 12-40mm f/2.8 Pro. Camera and lens were mounted to a tripod and actuated by remote release. I took five bracketed exposures and combined them in Lightroom to create a realistic HDR that matched the scene as I remembered it.

what to do when you don't have to go to school? I went to the forest, took my camera with me and I felt like a little child with a teddy bear. I hugged my camera after every picture I made, I love how the pictures turned out!

As as the first step in the kings plan to expand his kingdom this forest outpost was built. Lets just say the locals are not too thrilled.

Martyrs' forest is on the outskirts of Jerusalem. It is on the western edge of Eshtaol Forest near Beit Meir. It was planted as a memorial to those who died in the Holocaust and will eventually contain six million trees, symbolizing the six million Jews who perished at the hands of the Nazis in World War II.

More sun dappled forest floors.

After walking (stumbling) down a track made with snowshoes in almost waistdeep snow I set up for a picture of aurora. After the legs of my tripod were defrosted with handwarmers and I exposed a car drove by the road behind me. I thought the picture would be ruined but in the end I quite like the sidelid trees
