I just can't get enough of photos with sunrays in a autumn forest. It gives the forest such a fairytale fealing.
Tucked away in the north-west corner of Tasmania, Tarkine Wilderness is the largest expanse of temperate rainforest remaining in Australia and the second largest in the world. It is a world of pristine rainforests, wild rivers, rugged coastlines, and abundant wildlife.
I have been trying to get this shot for months now. I have tried at least 5 times and the conditions were never right. When I saw the fog today I knew the conditions were favourable. I ended up taking a 3 shot pano instead of a super wide lens to capture the whole scene as I first saw it.
New Forest, Hampshire.
I take ages thinking up titles...
If, like me, you love black and white seascapes, please take a look at David Langan's rather fab Dark Beach Project at: www.flickr.com/photos/discodavor/sets/72157629626052889/w...

Walking along the stream in the forest near the village of St. Maddalena in Dolomites :)
The village of St. Maddalena is located at the rear end of the Villnöss valley at an altitude of 1,339 m above sea level in the Trentino-Alto Adige region in northern Italy. This is the place where the most popular photographic subjects are to be found, as the Church of St. Magdalena and the Geisler/Odle massif. The main peak of the massif is Sass Rigais, 3,025 m above sea level. The village is a popular destination for tourists, especially those interested in hiking and winter sports.

Spacer wzdłuż strumienia, w lesie nieopodal miejscowości Santa Maddalena w Dolomitach :)

"The fallen leaves of the forest seemed to make even the ground glow and burn with light" - Malcolm Lowry -
During a work assignment in cities along the Pacific Coast from Washington, Oregon and into California, took an epic drive through the Redwood forest in northern California. When I saw this little side road with it's glowing warm leaves and deep mood, I just had to stop, walk a little while and even decided to take this self portrait. It truly is a place when entering, it is easy to lose all track of time and never want to leave!
On our only full day in Singapore we visited Gardens By The Bay for the second time. It really is a remarkable place and perhaps this dome is the piece de resistance; an artificial mountain created inside a glass dome that resembles the conditions you would find in a cloud forest.
The Cloud Forest is higher but slightly smaller of the two domes at 0.8 hectares (2.0 acres). It replicates the cool moist conditions found in tropical mountain regions between 1,000 metres (3,300 ft) and 3,000 metres (9,800 ft) above sea level, found in South-East Asia, Central- and South America. It features a 42-metre (138 ft) "Cloud Mountain", accessible by an elevator, and visitors are able to descend the mountain via a circular path where a 35-metre (115 ft) waterfall provides visitors with refreshing cool air.
The "Cloud Mountain" itself is an intricate structure completely clad in epiphytes such as orchids, ferns, peacock ferns, spike- and clubmosses, bromeliads and anthuriums. The design by Grant Associates was inspired by the Maiden Hair Fungus and consists of a number of levels, each with a different theme, including The Lost World, The Cavern, The Waterfall View, The Crystal Mountain, The Cloud Forest Gallery, The Cloud Forest Theatre and The Secret Garden.
