"Foam", August 2022.
The figure seen here (in part) ("Foam") was sculpted by Charles d'Orville Pilkington Jackson. It was initially exhibited at Glasgow's 1938 Empire Exhibition in the city's Bellahouston Park. In 1973 it was gifted to the National Trust for Scotland and remains on display at Greenbank Garden.

We had a night of below freezing temperatures at the cottage. The next morning even the foam along the beach was frozen

Wow, was it windy on the beach this morning! So much so the crashing waves were creating foam that was blowing over the prom.
It was alright walking with the wind, but almost impossible to walk into the wind
“I am forever walking upon these shores,
Betwixt the sand and the foam,
The high tide will erase my foot-prints,
And the wind will blow away the foam.
But the sea and the shore will remain
Forever.

Here is upper Palouse Falls on an overcast day making quite a large foam deposit. I'm a little grossed out by the foam but intrigued all the same. It seems to form around waves and falling water.
Is Wednesday the waterfall day?
More about this area: These falls and the canyon downstream comprise an important feature of the channeled scablands created by the great Missoula Floods that swept periodically across eastern Washington and across the Columbia River Plateau during the Pleistocene epoch.

This is a photo of a swirling pattern of surf foam at the leading edge of the incoming tide at Clam Harbour Beach.
Plastic closed cell foam toy aka Floam. This is basically different size balls of closed cell plastic foam held together by a sticky plastic. Think of a Rice Crispy treat only with plastic instead of cereal and marshmallows. It is surprisingly fun to play with despite being recommended for 3+ years. Well I guess I'm 3+...++++++
Sea foam, frozen solid.
We went out early one seriously cold morning to catch the dawn. On the beach, we found the sea foam had frozen solid, like a wave suspended in motion.

It's where the Jello-O foam ended up. The foam from the photo I showed the other day. Just Jell-O whipped and it makes foam...who knew?
Believe it or not... there are pieces of orange and grapefruit in the bottom layer.
The Jell-O book used lemon jelly for theirs and it looks better because you can actually see the fruit. They said orange or lemon and I used the orange first..but, today...trying the lemon.
The retro party quickly approaches and I need to figure out what I am using....
