Yes, we are really family.

My second cousin and me playing football. I was seven, Bram (a.k.a. B.C-tje) was and still is slightly older.

It has been 30 years, but I remember this event pretty well. Bram was attacking the ball in a karate-like manner all the time. And each time I was about to hit it, I just bursted out in an incontrolable laughing fit. Those were the good times.

In a world where even your "family" tries to break you down, I never doubt her. She has my back and I hers. That's true family ❤️

As we were returning from a walk around a marsh we met a man also returning to his car with 3 young kids equipped with binoculars and cameras. We stopped and talked awhile and he told us they had seen a Cinnamon Teal on their way into the marsh. We followed him out and when he stopped to show us the spot he climbed up on his car complete with scope. I have climbed up on a lot of different things to get a better look but never on top of my car. Not sure I could! The 2 oldest kids were very involved in the birding and seemed to be enjoying the outing with Dad. Not sure about the little one who at this point stayed in the car. It was a long walk around the marsh and he may have just been tired.

It was an honor for Michelle to ask me to take her family photos. I met Michelle when we were in the Peace Corps in Vanuatu together. She married a man from there, named JP who I was also friends with. They recently had a baby and are working towards moving back to Vanuatu again!

I've been digging in my archives the past few days. This is another one from a few years ago of my daughter and one of my grandsons. Under the current conditions we are all living, I haven't been getting out with my camera much.

We had a rough morning when Mae had a complication during routine surgery. We couldn't get through to Hillary or her finace but had received a message that Mae might not make it. We knew how devastated Hillary would be so we spent a difficult morning trying to get information. Now I'm going to take a nap but I'll be back when I can.

Me and my sis, Katy at step sister's wedding last year. She's divorced now and I'm no longer engaged to the guy who proposed to me the day after the wedding. :)oh yeah- we were bridesmaids...

One of the best moments and delightful memories from 2024. Unfortunately, not all of them are in this photo, it was difficult to capture them all in one place. My granddaughter and older children were playing on the children's zip line, and several adults were helping with preparing lunch.

We were a little off once again... and Todd turns his back on the camera?

I think this is what most people would think. Although I had a hard time coming up for an idea for this. Finally it clicked in.(pun)
