Brody and I were greeted this morning on our walk by this family of snow people!

A small family of Egrets nest. Mother feeds her chicks in the nest. I was in Hunting Island State Park in South Carolina yesterday. This island is a wonderland for wildlife. This area is closed to the public and you can not go into or get close to the actual feeding area. I was standing on a high sand dune next to a roadway to get a vantage point to capture this image.
My partner spotted this beautiful black bear family on our way home from work. It's moments like this when I'm glad I always have my camera with me.

CSX 1972 was a nice lead engine on the front of this M602-16 catching the first rays of sunlight on a spring saturday morning in Henderson Point, MS. The massive M602 hit the west end of the bridge at sunrise, and a small hole in receding fog allowed for some beautiful golden sun to hit the train as it slowly rolled across the confluence of Saint Louis Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Realistically in this scenario I would have shot any train in this lighting, but seeing the long gone Family Lines System logo on the side of the freshly outshopped 1972 made it even better...

When I leave the parking lot at the Fountain Creek Nature Center, I always look to see what is happening at the small prairie dog town just outside the lot. Here is family shot of the little critters enjoying a sunny morning a couple of days ago. I would love to get down to their eye level but they are very skittish at this location. This was shot from my favorite blind - our jeep!

I was taking pictures of families of geese and ducks when 3 girls came up and started to feed them. Perfect photo opportunity.

A washed CSX 911 leads L032 through North Tonawanda, NY with Kantorski at the throttle. Pulling 150 cars the 911 and 1976 were in buffalo for the family days event and were put to L032 to help with the large train.
