Bear Buses 193 at Hounslow West Station providing some much needed relief to the H91's, due to strike action on the Piccadilly Line.

Thats the way ... He only starts it every blue moon with fuel prices at $ 1.70 per litre and thats for unleaded .. and this big girl only likes leaded .. OK .

FEC train 240 runs north on a hot and hazy Friday morning, splitting the signals at the newer CP Sunrise crossovers.
NT$59/US$1.85 for a pack of 10. These Yakults contain 3 times the amount of culture that is in the regular Yakults. I have never seen these in the States. Taste the same, just a little bit more expensive than the regular ones (regular ones are NT$55 for 10).
BTW, the regular Yakults go for US$2.50 for 5 in NYC.
I loooooove Yakults. I have been drinking a few bottles of these extra strength ones everyday. Joy.

"Presidential" F7 401 leads a C&NW business train up the Harvard Subdivision on a warm May afternoon in 1989. The special train has just passed the Palatine depot, making track speed on the center main. Special thanks to Mark Llanuza for the tip that day! I've looked on every map I could find and was not able to see a name associated with this lake. Since this lake is absolutely EXTRA amazing and medium in size, I think the name is fitting. All I need to do is convince Google Maps to name it as such, and there you have it.
Shot with my new DJI Mini 2, which I can't say enough about. Handles better than my Phantom 3, delivers better photos and is much easier to fly.
The Conway Scenic's extra to Whitefield is lead this year by ex B&M 4266 with ex Maine Central 252 bringing up the rear. The sun hadn't quite swung around enough yet, but it definitely beats the grade crossing alternative.
Engineer Welch extends a friendly wave on a chilly -16F morning as he works an extra switch throwing out bad order ore cars from the A Yard at Proctor. Thankfully the wind was fairly calm.
An extra run for CP 254 today brings CP 9758 with UP 2661 hauling near 8200 feet of auto racks eastward down the Galt sub at the 7th Concession in Puslinch. They would make the southward turn at Guelph Junction and head to Buffalo.
Feels weird to shoot my own car but its going through some changes soon so I wanted pics as it is now. I was meaning to do the whole set but I'm not liking the statics at all so a reshoot later maybe.
I must of bumped the zoom ring on the lens between exposures so editing this one was a bitch. There should be a zoom lock!!!
Strobist: AB800 moved round in multiple exposures and merged, Vagabond II, Cybersyncs
Certainly not the best photo, but there's a bit of a story behind this one.
In summer 2012 we attended the air show at Avord, but this event was below par, partly because that year, the higher powers decided that only French aircraft would be present.
I don't think we bothered with a flying programme but had to leave just before 5pm in order to get back to Paris at a reasonable hour. But we had only been back on the open road for a few minutes when this formation came into view - two Mirage 2000s in formation with a KC-135 tanker.
The KC-135 is one of three additional aircraft acquired from the US in 1994, these receiving extensive updates before arriving in France. The one in my photo is 525, derived from its US serial of 62-3525.

During most of the SOO years getting an eastbound out of Marquette in daylight arriving at Trout Lake was next to impossible. The eastbound jobs were normally a middle of the night arrival. The only hope of getting one in any kind of light was the Monday evening train during the late spring-summer. The sun is almost gone as Extra 703 east arrives at Trout Lake om Monday May 14, 1984 with 35 cars. Normally the train would take the NW wye into the yard but on this evening the yard was plugged and the power pulled the train down over the diamond and is shown shoving cars back onto the seldom used ex DSS&A pass. After a couple more moves the caboose will be tied onto the 726 and the westbound cars will be left clear of the NW wye switch on the ex DSS&A main. The power and caboose will then pull over the diamond and shove in the SW wye where the crew will tie everything down and book off until the next day at which point they will report back on duty after the arrival of 910 and gather up there train and head back to Marquette.
Stagecoach is expecting higher demand than ever this year from Christmas shoppers looking to travel between the retail hubs in Liverpool and Cheshire. In order to accommodate this, the company has swapped out some of its Alexander Dennis Enviro300 single deck buses on its 1 service for ADL Enviro400 double deck buses.
Seen laying over in the former Taunton bus station is 42966 WX06ONA, one of a batch of Bristol based Darts that worked city services, then services to Portishead before gaining a livery for the Mint route in the city.
The last bastion of the Bristol Dart, they have been sent away and this is one of two that ended up with Buses of Somerset to provide additional capacity for social distancing.

8220 leads a string of cement pots to Berrima Cement Works. This is an extra service, unsure why it was running but there is never a down empty cement train in daylight.

@Macro Mondays: When I understood that a golf ball is a perfect item to experiment with macro photography I shot a series of pictures. I worked with long exposure and altered lighting to achieve different kinds of shadows. As an interesting side effect , it was almost impossible to adjust the images in Lightroom when it comes to higlights, shadows, exposure, black, white and contrast. My contribution this weeks is this (extra-) ordinary golfball. Some other pictures from this series are in my photostream.
A Steam Generator car brings up the rear of the Canyon train. An ex SP twin unit car is 3 and 4th from the rear. SOO ON. September 1979.
Extra 493, a Trains Magazine photo charter special, arrives back at Durango after spending 2 days putting on a show for the participates. While from an accuracy perspective, the K-37's never actually saw service on the Silverton Branch, seeing one in the speed lettering & on the point of a mixed train definitely won't have me leave my camera down. 9-3-21
I've just rediscovered a couple of photos I never got round to uploading - this one from Glasgow Botanic Gardens in May 2013
Street shooting in Liverpool, NSW a few weeks ago. This "extra chatty" old man was obviously making this woman uncomfortable so I thought I'd see his reaction if I took a photo. Needless to say he was not impressed when he noticed me about to click the shutter. I told him I was taking a photo of that cool looking trolley of capsicum.
Shot with the old Rebel EOS with 40mm panake lens and Fujifilm Xtra 400 for the extra chatty old man!
