My coffee got cold on me, so I topped it off with some hot coffee from the carafe.
Op woensdag 28 juni 2017 was het weer een bijzondere dag.
Zoals al bekend rijdt Captrain s'woensdags van Antwerpen naar Tessenderlo.
Maar die dag hadden ze een extra gereviseerde wagon bij voor Cronimet in Zutendaal.
Maar rond de middag was er in Zelem een aanrijding met een persoon,waardoor het treinverkeer drie uur onderbroken was!
Dus met een grote vertraging werd de Captrain trein met die wagon en ketels in Diest in de bundel geplaatst;
Daarna hebben ze die blauwe Cronimetwagon afgehaakt en eerst naar Genk-Goederen gebracht.
De lok is dan los terug naar Diest gereden en heeft daar de keteltrein opgepikt en die daarna naar Tessenderlo gereden.
Waar ze lang gerangeerd hebben en daarna s'avonds met een andere keteltrein terug naar Antwerpen gereden zijn!

Street shooting in Liverpool, NSW a few weeks ago. This "extra chatty" old man was obviously making this woman uncomfortable so I thought I'd see his reaction if I took a photo. Needless to say he was not impressed when he noticed me about to click the shutter. I told him I was taking a photo of that cool looking trolley of capsicum.

Seen laying over in the former Taunton bus station is 42966 WX06ONA, one of a batch of Bristol based Darts that worked city services, then services to Portishead before gaining a livery for the Mint route in the city.
The last bastion of the Bristol Dart, they have been sent away and this is one of two that ended up with Buses of Somerset to provide additional capacity for social distancing.
Lothian City Volvo B8L E400-XLB 1107 (SJ19OVH) cruises along Princes Street on Route 11 towards Ocean Terminal.
SOO 2226A leads a GP38-2-GP40-F7A lashup on a train of Penn Central and Conrail grain hoppers. The train is at the east end of Neenah yard in September 1979.
8103 leads 8123 on empty Rooty Hill to Lynwood stone train 1225 at Maldon.

8220 leads a string of cement pots to Berrima Cement Works. This is an extra service, unsure why it was running but there is never a down empty cement train in daylight.

With about 40 cars in tow, D907 heads east out of Grand Rapids behind a pair of CSX GEs. The extra crew was called to bring the train back to Lansing after the original crew outlawed in GR.

...are needed during a heat wave! Plus, extra cooling measures are needed. I tried to keep The Girls cool by misting them, and applying a cold damp cloth to the inside of their ears. Trying to keep Anise in the shade at 3 in the afternoon was difficult because she wanted to go out for her 'walk' at walk time. When it's 40 degrees outside I put my foot down and cancel the 'walk'. However, without a 'walk' she'll squawk ~ ha ~ unless her mouth is full! Thankfully, today it's only going up to 27 C. Yesterday in our province of British Columbia a town called Lytton broke a record for Canada and reached 49.5 C ~ OUCH ~ that's HOT for our parts!!!

Keolis Extra 2025 is seen passing the former B&M Lancaster Freight House in Lancaster, MA as they qualify crews on the Pan Am Worcester Main to account for track work scheduled on the Grand Junction in the coming weeks.
Certainly not the best photo, but there's a bit of a story behind this one.
In summer 2012 we attended the air show at Avord, but this event was below par, partly because that year, the higher powers decided that only French aircraft would be present.
I don't think we bothered with a flying programme but had to leave just before 5pm in order to get back to Paris at a reasonable hour. But we had only been back on the open road for a few minutes when this formation came into view - two Mirage 2000s in formation with a KC-135 tanker.
The KC-135 is one of three additional aircraft acquired from the US in 1994, these receiving extensive updates before arriving in France. The one in my photo is 525, derived from its US serial of 62-3525.

After taking a stone extra to Johnsonburg, the power makes a return trip north towards Salamanca. BPRR 3892, an ex-BN triclops SD60M is in the lead as the train cruises though Rasselas, Pennsylvania.
