Explored 2-20-2011, Door County presents harsh winter weather conditions for all inhabitants including this "stand alone" tree located along the shore of Lake Michigan - a real survivor!!

As always, thanks for all of you views and comments.

Dear friends, this image is not mine.

This Pastina boy is gone to cat's heaven!

He passed over the Rainbow bridge!

He was ill for a long time and couldn't be cured!

I am so sorry for your loss sweet Susy my darling friend!

Please take care, your Pastina is free from pain now!

"Please don’t cry

I’m not really gone

When you look out the window

I’ll be standing on the lawn

Please don’t cry

I’ll see you again

Don’t be sad

Keep up your chin

Please don’t cry

I’m not really dead

When you cry yourself to sleep

I’ll be by your bed

Please don’t cry

Just because we had to part

As long as you remember me

I’ll live in your heart

Please don’t cry

I’m not gone forever

I’ll be a cool and gentle breeze

In hot summer weather

Please don’t cry

Don’t run and hide

When you need a shoulder to lean on

I’ll be by your side

Please don’t cry

When you’re sad and weak

I’ll be there

To kiss you on the cheek

Please don’t cry

This is just a goodbye

So please, oh please

Baby, do not cry.."

Explorer # 408 Oct 2 , 2008 Thanls very much, appriciated

Well not exactly Jewells..more like pollution.... oil on asphalt

I went into a business to get my cell phone repaired. When I came out saw these jewels. The light was at an angle that made the water drops, skimmed with oil, produce these amazing colors. I had to grab my S2, it's always nearby and get the shot.

Just added a crop and curves layer in PS.

Groups of people can be seen exploring spectacular Machu Picchu in this panoramic view from near the entrance. Best seen large to appreciate the scale, this is a stitched three shot panorama of the 15th century Inca site which is located on a mountain ridge at about 8000 feet elevation. The ruins lie in a saddle between the the two mountains Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu, and are frequently shrouded in clouds. Machu Picchu is situated above a loop of the Urubamba River, which surrounds the site on three sides, with cliffs dropping vertically for 1,480 feet to the river at their base. The site was abandoned after the Spanish conquest, and rediscovered in 1911 by Hiram Bingham. Because it was not known to the Spanish, it is relatively intact, and is a World Heritage site.

I got my braces off today!

Whoever said it didn't hurt to get your braces off,

I'm just gonna say,

this for me it DID hurt,

but only when they popped the brackets off,

other then that it wasn't that bad,

although it smelt like fireworks when they were uhh sawing? the glue off? Haha.

LIEU :

ENGLISH informations :

Located near the crossroads of Ploumanac'h (Perros-Guirec) , this Park presents 12 monumental sculptures among which 7 were realized by international sculptors during the Symposium of monumental sculptures on granites which was held in Ploumanac'h in 1998. A few years before an identical demonstration had taken place to Lanhélin in Ille-et-Vilaine (see PP N 35147_1 and 35147_2).

If Lanhelin is the country of the blue granite, Perros-Guirec with the granite of The Clarity(Brightness) is the country of the pink granite.

The artists play with these colors. They have a particular merit: the granite is, among the natural materials, the hardest material which is to work.

If the vandalism destroyed some informative nameplates, the Masterpieces remain ! .

Noted:

Don't be surprised reading sometimes the word : granit (French word) ( massive, not porous, waterproof and coherent grainy rock), term of quarryman or monumental mason and granite (French word )(rock plutonique grainy completely crystallized whose mineralogical composition is very precise ) , geologist 's term .
