Christmas is less than a fortnight away and nature here in Ostwestfalen is like early Spring. We used Sunday afternoon for an extended hiking tour around home waters of the river Werre in the Löhne area.

When you follow the Lake Agnes Trail from Lake Louise, you first pass Mirror Lake with the Big Beehive towering over it (see my previous photos), before reaching astounding Lake Agnes. What I didn't like too much were the open stairs along a rockface I had to climb just before reaching this lake - I prefer to have ground under my feet. But the view was very rewarding indeed! [Explored on 13/08/2021, #66]

Der Beginn eines Tages, wie es ihn kein zweites Mal gibt. Üblicherweise kehre ich nach so einem Morgen wieder heim und bringe zum Frühstück frische Brötchen mit. Dieses Mal sollte der Tag draußen in der Natur aber nicht mit dem Sonnenaufgang enden. Kurze Zeit später traf ich mich mit Freunden und wir unternahmen bei herrlichem Novemberwetter und heftigen Sturmböen eine ausgiebige Tageswanderung auf unbekannten Wegen. Erst nach Sonnenuntergang war ich wieder zurück. Es war ein wahnsinnig schöner Tag - wer braucht da noch ferne Urlaubsziele?!
