Since I'm a bit behind in my reworks I thought it might be a good opportunity to take stock of the images that have received such a warm reception on Flickr.

While the mother bear watched from above, a feisty little yearling Alaskan brown bear cub felt brave enough to explore the wrack line below the driftwood logs piled up at the high tide line. Tall grasses and wildflowers grow between the logs. Cook Inlet, Alaska, Pacific Northwest.

Anacamptis pyramidalis (Pyramiden-Hundswurz, pyramidal orchid) Zölzalm, Eisenerzer Alpen, Steiermark, Austria. They are suffering from the heat and drought he had for last couple of weeks. Taken with a Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon 2.8/35 mm.
One of the lovely little houses that I stayed in during my most recent exploration of Japan. My goal on that trip was to head out of the big cities and really get to know the normal day to day life of the wider country and it was an awesome experience.
A fine place to walk, a terrible place to trip...
