ASK Evaluation domain has conducted the end term evaluation of the Project MUKTI: “Combatting Trafficking of Children for Commercial Sexual Exploitation” in the states of West Bengal (Darjeeling), Manipur, Assam and Goa in India.
The project is implemented by Anyay Rahit Zindagi (ARZ), FXB India Suraksha, Global Organization for Life Development (GOLD) and Mankind in Action for Rural Growth (MARG), and supported by ECPAT Luxembourg / EL (End Child Prostitution, Child Pornography and Trafficking of Children for Sexual Purposes). The project is working to prevent sexual abuse & human trafficking for commercial sexual exploitation plus also rescue, rehabilitate, repatriate & reintegrate the survivors of human trafficking and child sexual abuses.
The Evaluation has been done to assess the extent to which project objectives were achieved through the work of the implementing partners of ECPAT and looked into the impact, effectiveness, relevance, efficiency, sustainability, good practices, challenges encountered & lesson learned. As part of this evaluation, ASK team interacted with a wide range of stakeholders including the partner organizations & project team members, survivors of sexual abuse & trafficking in-person and their parents / family members / caretakers, anti-trafficking clubs, vigilance groups / committees, legal cells, school children & teachers, government stakeholders (like anti-human trafficking units, social welfare department, women & child welfare department, Police & Law Enforcement Officials, Police, Protection Homes representatives), tourism industry workers, religious leaders, media representatives, staffs of protection / rehabilitation homes / centers, vocational training centers etc.

Exploités depuis le xvie siècle, très fréquentés par la haute société au xixe siècle pour des séjours de cures (duchesse d'Angoulême et de Berry, Impératrice Eugénie, aristocrates anglais), les thermes de Saint-Sauveur sont recommandés encore aujourd'hui pour les affections gynécologiques, en phlébologie et ORL grâce à leur eau thermale à la température naturelle de 33° riche en gaz rares, sels minéraux et soufre. Ils ont été entièrement rénovés en 1995 et pourvus d'un espace de remise en forme ouvert été comme hiver. En 2004, celui-ci s’est étoffé d’un spa en balcon sur le gave de Gavarnie et d’un hammam en pierre.

A march against the exploitation of and racism toward international students in Australia that the governments (both state and federal) continue to allow to exist. International and Australian students from NSW universities (such as Newcastle, UTS, Macquarie, UNSW and Sydney University) rallied together, marching from Sydney University to UTS and on to NSW Parliament House, asking for the government to intervene and change legislation that allows international students to be taken advantage of.
Some basic rights like abolishing the 20-hour work week limit and providing student travel concessions to international students were demanded in chants and songs. At a deeper level though, the protesters are demanding an end to the systematic racism and exploitation of international students, who are increasingly treated more as a means to profit than as students to educate.

Nieuw Statendam devrait passer toute la saison dans les Caraïbes à la navigation aller-retour au départ de Fort Lauderdale. La cérémonie officielle de nomination de Nieuw Statendam aura lieu à Fort Lauderdale le 2 février.
Le navire se rendra à son port d’été d’Amsterdam (Pays-Bas) en mai et effectuera une série de croisières en Europe du Nord, dans la Baltique et en Islande avant de se rendre en Méditerranée en septembre pour des croisières au départ de Civitavecchia.
Une grande partie de la conception du navire ressemblera à celle de Koningsdam, le premier navire de la classe Pinnacle, mais le Nieuw Statendam disposera d’espaces publics exclusifs et de son propre style.

Emergency cargo Vessel EC-2-S-CI construits en 2650 exemplaires entre 1941 et 1943 était entièrement soudés et assemblés au moyen d'éléments préfabriqués, certains en 40 jours.
Le Gouvernement Français en acquis 75. Les Services Contractuels des Messageries Maritime en demandèrent 6 et en obtinrent 6.
Le Chef du Service Marine et le Service Technique surent rendre ces navires mieux exploitables en installant deux mâts de charge et deux treuils sur l'arrière de la cale 2. Finalement ces navires rendirent d'énormes services, aptes à tous les transports y compris celui des liquides dans les 600 m3 de deep-tanks de la cale 1.
La nouvelle Compagnie des Messageries Maritimes en exploitera-t-elle jusqu'à 19 en même temps, sans compter une douzaine qui d'affrétés du même type.
Pour remplacer le GRANDCAMP de la Compagnie Générale Transatlantique, détruit par une explosion le 16 avril 1947 à Texas City, le War shipping offrit le dernier Liberty construit.

ÉVÉNEMENTS :
1952: Un souvenir du Commandant Petitpas qui fut Officier pont sur ce navire.
L'"OYONNAX" liberty des MM a fait un voyage Oran Saigon Haiphong comme "trooper" occasionnel au début de 1952.Ce transport correspond à l'offensive De Lattre.....en Indochine. Nous avions 800 légionnaires à bord, j'étais Lieutenant pont chargé du commissariat. Le Pacha était: Charles Vaulpré, le Sd Capitaine: Copillet, le chef (?) le Sd Mec ; Rayer. Cela remonte bien loin!!! À moins que soit Levesque, mais que de bons souvenirs le retour du voyage avait été un affrètement Chine Populaire-Constantza (mer noire).Voyage de 6 mois, nous sommes encore nombreux (pour longtemps je l'espère) à avoir pratiqué cette navigation.
1952 le 21 août : Entre Suez et Djibouti prend en remorque le KARAM EL ARAB, à court de vivres et d'eau avec 700 pèlerins à bord. Il le ravitaillera par va-et-vient puis le remorquera jusqu'à Djibouti.
1955 le 13 mai: Suite à un incident du LES GLIÈRES lors de sa touchée en Chine continentale avec le Gouvernement communiste, il est acheté en toute partie pour faire tomber l'hypothèque qu'avait le Gouvernement Américain sur ce navire. Cf biographie du LES GLIÈRES.
RETRAIT et FIN :
1959. Vendu à un armement grec en novembre .Prend le nom de LÉONIDAS VOYAZIDES, puis en
1965 Vendu à un armement Cypriote. Il prend le nom de TRIADA(Chypre).
