After yesterday's walk through the woodland we ended up at the nature reserve and a much needed dip (for Evie) was in order, it was quite hot about 23c and she had fun chasing pebbles thrown by me and swimming after them. Good exercise and fun for all!

Flickr sees her as a water bear, I can see why :))

I love this photo of her, expectation of another flying pebble, wet and very happy.

Vad väntar vid regnbågens slut?? Detta är mitt bidrag till Fotosöndags tema "Förväntan".

What awaits at the end of the rainbow?? This is my contribution to Photo Sunday´s theme Expectation.

It’s time for a recap!!! Well I’m gonna be blunt. This event didn’t really live up to my expectation compared to last year’s oh-so-amazing Gloss Convention. I know Integrity Toys tried their hardest to pull out a great event and for a 20th Anniversary celebration we, the attendees, expected so much more. Although there were some disappointments, we did have a lot of fun. I’m personally glad to see friends that I’ve met last year and I’m happy to meet new ones. I’m happy to see the designers and see familiar faces again. We have a huge haul, everyone’s full, and everyone’s happy. That’s all that matters. The moment the Convention theme was announced, I knew this wasn’t gonna be for me. But looking at all of them together, we do have a spectacular collection here. So let’s start with Fashion Royalty!

Reigning Grace Eugenia 2015 Cinematic Convention Upgrade Doll - The moment her promo pics were revealed, I started to get worried. Based on the fact that she has an older face screening previously used for Diamond Society Eugenia I knew that some of them will have old screening as well. She turned out to be stunning, but I don’t know how long I’m going to keep her. We have a mostly black & white collection here with a sprinkle of red. Have you noticed?

Feminine Perspective Agnes Mini-Gift Set - I’ve kind of predicted what fashions she’s going to have in this gift-set. I did think about a lingerie set but I didn’t really think about a tuxedo and a top hat. I’m definitely all about that tuxedo! It’s a well thought out set, but again, it all boils down to whether I like the face up or not. I love the hair color and the lips which somehow reminds me of that one-of-a-kind DIFFA charity auction Maggie Rizer doll. But I’m not a fan of the older screening which I think is The Royal Weiss Agnes face design that they’ve used for her. I’m not sure if it’s exactly the same but what I do know is that they made adjustments to the screening based on comparison. She’s very lovely in hand but at this point in my ever growing collection I have to be selective of who goes and who stays. If she had Poesie Enchantee/Regal Estate face screening I would be all over her but that’s not the case.

Idol Worship Kyori IT Direct Sales Room Exclusive - What a lovely doll! But black hair and red lips again? Why? I really think she would look gorgeous with a lip color that matches the nude color of her dress and I would get her in a heartbeat! Can we please change her up? Again, it’s Kyori’s slow evolution. No drastic change here from the last Convention. Can we darken her skin tone a little bit with ash blonde hair and neutral make-up palette? Come on IT! I know you can do it. Just don’t give her the Hungarian skin tone and everything will be fine. That hair is gorgeous though. I would still love to have her, I just run out of shopping money.

Star Power Vanessa - Beautiful! As always. But another blonde Vanessa with red lips? I guess in reference to the movie Gentlemen Prefers Blondes they decided to go with that color palette again. A stereotypical Marilyn Monroe look basically. It actually didn’t matter to me. I love her face screening, I love her hair but I’m not sure if I like her dress and cape yet.

Inner Spark Natalia - If you have noticed, the dolls with older face sculpts gets an older face screening used from 7 or so years ago while dolls with newer face sculpts gets new(er) face screening. I love everything about this doll. The make-up palette is to-die-for! But I’m not a fan of the Hot Property eyes. If she had the Heat Seeker/Pewter/Power Game eyes I’d be getting her at the sales room in an instant. It's such a shame.

Stage Presence Veronique W Club Luncheon Exclusive Centerpiece - If this was the Main Convention Souvenir doll I’d be ecstatic but I think the reason why she is not is because this is not the Fashion Royalty Anniversary. This is the Integrity Toys Anniversary! It could be anyone really. This Veronique is so gorgeous and they used the Haute Societe/Sweet Smell of Success face screening again which is a favorite of mine. While I’m tired of the blonde hair and red lips, this Vero turned out to be perfection. Royal Treatment who??? If only I had extra dollars to spend I would have bought her… Wish me luck at the lottery. I’m entering if I have the money for sure.

Time and Again Adele Official Table Centerpiece - Well time and again I am underwhelmed. I don’t love Adele as much as I used too. I’m not mad at the styling. I love the Jackie O kind of look for her but again, it’s all about the face. She’s just a different character for me all together. Adele has left the building! I’m dying to have her refreshed again to look like her old self or just have her revert back to 2.0 that would be great.

Starlet Elyse Official Table Centerpiece - To me she’s the Main Convention doll. She saved the entire convention from sinking! The make-up palette is very refreshing! She’s definitely glowing! That dress is very interesting too with the pockets and the sheer skirt but that hair is huge! That hive is waaay too tall! I’m definitely restyling her and hopefully she has long hair under there.

In a New Year of promise and expectation we have the old reliable Robert French of Lawrence Photography to start us off. Here is Lynch's Castle, Shop Street in Galway on what must have been a quiet day. Today, even early in the morning this street seems to hum with life, those up early, those going home late, those that have little to do but stand around and, inevitably, the music and life of the city!

To all a Happy New Year from all at Library Towers and the Three Marys!

These passengers are anticipating the arrival of the 15:10 Bristol Parkway to Weston-super-Mare service here at Bristol Temple Meads station on Saturday 18th January 2020.

This island platform (numbers 10 & 12 here at the west end) and its canopy date from the station's expansion in the 1930s. The vacant space on the left was once occupied by Bath Road diesel depot, a facility that was demolished after its closure in 1995. The site was later earmarked for the proposed 12,000 seater Bristol Arena, a covered entertainment venue of a size and versatility that the city currently lacks. However, that project was finally (?) scrapped in 2018 following repeated delays and lack of progress.

クソ重い今のカメラの軽量化対策に買ったパンケーキレンズで臨んだ今回の旅行ですが、予想外にクリアな画像に満足。

On this trip I took a pancake lens that I bought to lighten the weight of my current camera, which is really heavy, and I was pleased with the unexpectedly clear images.

Everyone expects. Each one for something else

or someone.

And now, the expectation belongs to everyone.

Yet, each one with their own expectations.

Et maintenant, l'attente appartient à tous.

Last September my four year old daughter Paula (in the middle) started to take ballet lessons for the first time, with some of her friends. This picture shows the illusion on their faces... but also the expectation towards something new and unknown. This is somewhat how I feel now, when I return to Flickr after five months.

Yes, I'm back :)

and, in my case, expectation.

Because I know that these badly maintained railway station lobby doors creak, squeak and shudder every time they are opened.

The level of expectation at Broadoak Level Crossing, on the line between Wrexham and Chester, for a good exhaust was low as trains working towards Chester are descending the 1-in-82 of Gesford Bank as far as Rossett, then easing out for the final few miles through Pulford and Balderston onto mainly level track. Our fears were confirmed when No. 6233 'Duchess of Sutherland', heading the Railway Touring Company's 'Great Britain XII', 1Z86 1545 Shrewsbury - Preston, came into view with just the distinctive 'white feather' drifting from its safety valve, but then the driver applied the regulator and the locomotive opened up on the approach to Broadoak Level Crossing, just south of Pulford. Later inspection of the gradient profile reveals a spike for roughly one mile at 1-in-360. The choice of Broadoak had not been planned, just a last minute 'take it or leave it' location. Helsinki Central railway station (Finnish: Helsingin päärautatieasema, Swedish: Helsingfors centralstation) is a widely recognised landmark in central Helsinki, Finland, and the focal point of public transport in the Greater Helsinki area. The station is used by approximately 200,000 passengers per day, making it Finland's most-visited building. It serves as the point of origin for all trains in the local VR commuter rail network, as well as for a large proportion of long-distance trains in Finland. The station also hosts the Rautatientori metro station, which is the busiest station of the Helsinki Metro.

On 7 June 2010, the Helsinki Central railway station was officially renamed Helsingin päärautatieasema-Helsingfors centralstation (Helsinki main railway station, or Helsinki central railway station) in Finnish and Swedish, replacing the previous official name Helsingin rautatieasema-Helsingfors järnvägsstation (Helsinki railway station). The Finnish transport bureau use "Helsinki C" as a shorthand, and there were erroneous news reports that this shorthand would also be taken into official use. Subj: Re: Feminism, and other Amusements 5/17/00 From Yustas61

Check enclosed in the mail? Is this valuable enough for you? The product of the most inflated culture, which feed on words and images, expect some words, which are 100 proofs? That’s me, not one word lies. I never inflate value unlike your expectation. Unfortunately to witness the art I describe you have to belong to a select circle of people. I try to do as much as I can for people to let them know about the existence of high art they can be proud of. When my gook is out I will let you know. Thank you for your feedback, friend, very truly yours, Yustas.

Attention to detail is the most important part when trying to solve a puzzle, to uncover hidden truth, to investigate.

Ben writes Subj: Re: What can’t be seen is worth seeing 11/19/99: But people like the idea that something is hidden and what it takes skill to find it. They are horrified when they realize otherwise. As for something like the paintings — they don’t care to search for the painting which are freely shown, they want the “special thing” which is hidden. of this I am relatively certain.

Can't agree more with what Ben writes. Only what is it one is searching for? This is another question that in its nature quite philosophical. When I read Ben's comment I had few thoughts. First came to mind, what is driving me to find an answer about the paintings by Paul Jaisini. Were they real or not. Are they real or not. My initial interest was not about this matter. But how current popularity of "Invisible" is connected to the early Internet and particularly Paul Jaisini who is a symbol of the current invisible direction widely spread (to be continued on this).
