but once in a century, instead of once a year, or burst forth with the sound of an earthquake, and not in silence, what wonder and expectation would there be in all hearts to behold the miraculous change!

" Expectation is half a fantasy. Knowing expectation is a half of a fantasy, can make it better. Hang on, this rollercoaster is still going uphill. Those butterflies will come back. With autumn leaves red and brown until reality wakes me. "
Rest hope you all enjoy amsy work as always ^^

Love is always bestowed as a gift - freely, willingly, and without expectation. We don't love to be loved; we love to love. Leo Buscaglia

I've said a thousand things before
I've fallen in and out of love
I couldn't walk but tried to run
At night the weight of expectation seems to keep me up
A thousand times I said too much
Always second guess before I jump
I gave my all but not enough
And with the weight of expectation, I'll be sleeping rough
How come I'm the only one who ever seems to get in my way?
Lately, I've been f**king up a good thing any chance I can get
Somebody to lean on, somebody to hold
It's just another to lead out before I let go
And I ain't tryna be lonely, solely
But everything I touch turns to stone
Maybe I'm better off on my own
A thousand times I've heard the same
I've heard some other voices in my head
Let me assure you that my mind's in check
I just can't put my faith in something we might live to regret
How come I'm the only one who ever seems to get in my way?
Lately, I've been f**king up a good thing any chance I can get
Somebody to lean on, somebody to hold
It's just another to lead out before I let go
And I ain't tryna be lonely, solely
But everything I touch turns to stone
Maybe I'm better off on my own
Everything that I touch turns to stone
Maybe I'm better off on my own
Everything that I touch turns to stone
Maybe I'm better off on my own
How come I'm the only one who ever seems to get in my way?
Lately, I've been f**king up a good thing any chance I can get

With the expectation that we were about to go into lockdown again I made a quick trip to the Vic Uni Pond to see if the chicks had hatched. When I arrived they were nowhere to be seen and one parent was sitting on the nest. Shortly after I heard the other parent calling, obviously bringing food, and these two climbed from under the parents feathers to be fed. There may be more, I don't know and will not be able to visit again until at least next Thursday. You may note the red patch on the crown. This is an indicator that the chick is hungry. Something I have learned just this week thanks to David Jenkins ( www.flickr.com/photos/birdsaspoetry ) when it came up on his blog. You can read more about it here - birdsaspoetry.com/2021/02/07/saturday-evening-post-120-1-...
