I love to slide a bit on Sundays. Motel corridors seem to be a bit of an attraction for me.
Happy Sliders Sunday everyone.
The Inside Passage reflected in the windows of the Alaska State Ferry Kennicott, somewhere off the coast of British Columbia.
he didn’t look back. maybe there was nothing to see. maybe everything was waiting ahead, swallowed by the white. the hallway echoed his steps like a half-forgotten memory – long, metallic, empty. but the shadow on the wall whispered something else: that even when we walk away, a part of us stays behind, watching.

Interior of Opera House in Durant, OK, showing silhouettes of people and street view through large front windows.
fluorescent lights hum softly. green dots flicker like distant stars. arrows on the floor point somewhere, but there’s no one left to follow them. the city is right above, yet it feels far away.
Against the far wall just to the right of the loft office we have a clue about this building's status. Notice the abandoned mobile field office left by one of several contractors involved in preparing the mill for demolition.

I posted this on FB yesterday and received the following comment from a very good friend; Kathy Horne Gill, who is currently confined to a wheelchair with MS and teaches in the Cleveland inner-city school system, in an environment that many would call "rough" at best. I was floored by her perspective:
"Looking from my left to right reminds me of a journey through MS. The diagnosis very dark, the red line indicates did I want to go on, the little lights depict yes, more light and sturdy stones depict hell yes. The light reflected on the dented door and the lit exit sign sums it up nicely. That is,take what life throws one's way, for tomorrows are never promised. Live for TODAY. Blessings.........."
Think about it.
You may have guessed, she's one of the strongest people I know, and her faith is limitless.
