The Akamas peninsula was for many years used by the British military bases in Cyprus as place for military exercises. This had a very negative effect on the natural environment. After lots of pressure from Cypriot friends of nature the Cyprus government finally managed to make the British forces agree to stop practising military exercises in the area.

It is still quite possible to find some remains around as the one above that I "discovered" in August 2007.

Infantry and Album Description

Members of 4th Canadian Division participate in a training exercise bringing army reserves units from all over Ontario to Canadian Forces Base Petawawa. Together they participated in Urban operations on the weekend of March 24 2024.

This shot was another low-angled one, which was quite tough. When I was watching the player practice on his vertical jumps, I really liked how the shadows looked on him. So I tried to capture that moment in order to bring what I visualised in my mind to life. And so I got this, to which I am very happy to how it turned out.
