First spinning class in a month has made my legs feel like jelly for about eight hours now, but it's worth it after being such a slacker for the last few weeks. Need to get back on it.
Went for a carvery dinner about 8 with Dan Godden, he's just split up with his long term girlfriend and we had a lovely night troughing dinner and drinking and keeping him busy.
Came home late and spoke to my lovely (but poorly) boy on Skype which cheered me up no end after not being able to keep in touch much this week. Yay. 87 days until my new lodger arrives, hee hee.

Yay for Myrrh taking up her role as the cat on the exercise bike! (here is the previous incarnation, and the now *cough* famous pose that gave me my screen name)
However, she's currently not on her exercise bike, in fact she's been banned from it. Myrrh is THE most active kitten I have ever owned, perhaps as a result of her part tortoiseshell inclinations (torties take catitude to a new level - "tortitude", highly strung and inclined towards crazy, but you've got to love 'em!). However, she's been too active, even though I've been trying my hardest to get her to rest after her sterilisation, limiting her access to most of the house so she can't jump high or run around at 50mph. But she just has too much excess energy to burn and has found ways to thwart my good intentions and her doctor-ordered rest period, and she's developed complications post-surgery with an internal fluid build-up as a result of too much strenuous activity.
Not that you'd guess it, as it hasn't slowed her down a bit! Now I've got my hands full trying extra hard to stop her from doing any worse to herself and give her a chance to heal.

I was trying to take a shot of me using my exercise bike as part of my 365days but I absolutely failed in my attempts to manipulate shutter speeds, ISOs and F's, every shot came out completely white and only just managed to get this bleached shot by doing something that I can't recall now (I tried everything). I was just so frustrated and angry with myself.
Self teaching myself how to use a camera (even a simple point and click one) is apparently just too much for my small brain, I still need to come up with todays shot but I'm uploading my failed shot as a reminder to myself that I will have to work this out soon.....

I'm working on a little project that will allow me to generate my own electricity and store it for use elsewhere (as in power some studio flashes or something of the like). This is the "generation unit"- AKA a free exercise bike that my wife and I found on the side of the road and a motor from a treadmill. If anyone would like plans or a more detailed description, I'll post more info later on when it's done.
