Strobist: AB1600 with gridded 60X30 softbox camera left. Triggered by Cybersync.

I cheated and used the pop-up flash to get some fill. Shhh!!! it's a secret.

Sometimes things are not as they seem. If you were to be standing next to me watching this incredible sunset you would not have seen the water like this or the clouds blurred like they are here....Thanks to my 10 stop ND filter such results can be accomplished. Yes I do like to escape reality for a while sometimes and when I am up on the Cape or under starry skies in the middle of nowhere, I can let my mind wander and be totally free without ever thinking about the hustle and bustle back in the real world. I hope you enjoy this image as I had a great time creating it.

You can't believe how much I enjoyed going for a walk last weekend!

Climbing out of the thick fog towards the sunshine and marvelous blue sky. Dreamland! And for once, I took my photogear with me. I think it was definitely worth doing so!

The picture: St.Georg-Chapel near Walenstadt, Switzerland, a very small town in the pre-alps were I grew up. Needless to mention, that I am in love with this area.

This imperial soldier thought he was lucky to escape the dreaded pirate fort of Captain Red Beard alive, and with his pants! But unfortunately for him there are deadlier things on this island than pirates.

Thanks for taking the time to look, your comments are appreciated.

I hesitated about uploading this for almost 4 months. I looked at the private version here on flickr many times a week but was completely unsure whether I really like it enough to have it in my public stream. Now I just had some kind of crazy impulse and did it. Please tell me honestly what you think.

Oh BTW: I plan to do two big trips this year. I will go to Scotland in March/April and probably visit Chile in July. I am sooo much looking forward to this. YEAH!

This is the Greenwich foot tunnel, my wife's family were from Greenwich in London and so were my father's......some knew each other and some married each other, but we met in Whitstable.

I spent a lot of time shooting this but I'm very happy with the final result !!

I'm going to make more pictures 'like this'. More 'product'. It's a lot of fun to do.

Going through a bit of a rough patch in many ways right now. Had to get out of the office to clear my head.

When I become a street photographer at weddings.

And when the guests try to escape into a world of their own.

Hall 24, Chittagong.

Abstract of a fire escape Automobile Alley, Oklahoma City.

I run away from myself... I run away from you... I make a complete circle only to realize that the more I run, the more I desire to return.

Would be tricky to use this escape route under the best of circumstances.

One of my favorite scene in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

I always wanted to build this scene but had no idea where to start.

After I saw Simon Pickard's moc, I could start building it.

Dandelion seed escaping from a dandelion seed head. Not as tricky as it may look - it was actually attached to the head by a single spider web thread, the hard part was it was blowing around in the wind
