For the Our Daily Challenge group's topic "Escape"

The timing of this topic couldn't be better. My job and world around me have been so hectic I needed to just escape and breathe a little before going right back into it, so me and a friend went up to DC for a weekend.

Sometimes just a walk down a street can be enough to clear your head.

“Desperation is the raw material of drastic change. Only those who can leave behind everything they have ever believed in can hope to escape.”

EDIT: sorry, all, had to fix a minor cropping issue!

Perfect way to cool down during summer heat season. I was so happy to see upon my return that Uber was still up and running and as popular as ever with so many new amazing designers. Compared to few years ago, to look amazing in SL seems so much easier and effortless as I saw so many beautiful avatars everywhere I looked. I have to step up my game :D

Side of the U.S. Bank Building, Pueblo, Colorado. When I was young, this was the 1st National Bank. My father worked at Broome Brothers' Camera Store across the street.

The walkway from Chowder bay to Bradleys head.

Set in the middle of prime foreshore land, this is one of the many coastal walkways on Sydney Harbour with natrual coastal forest and views up and down the harbour. A great escape - in many parts there are no visible signs of civiliation, and you could be anywhere.

We meet Arnold Wesker and Scarface, who are two big time gang bosses, escaping from Arkham Asylum! "*huff*! *puff*! Oh jeez... Oh lord!" Arnold worries... "Quit spazzin' out and keep runnin'! Hell, do you even know where you goin', dummy?!" Scarface asks... "Ye- *puff* Y-Yes! Yes I d-do! That guy told us where to go *huff* on the phone! *wheeze*" Arnold explains... "Alright! I'll trust ya'... But only because if your wrong, I get the right to punish you! And you know how much I'll abuse that opportunity..!" Scarface replies... They arrive at a dark, abandoned building...

My entry for week three of Innovalug’s Style It Up contest.

This week participants were tasked with building a model that made contact with the ground with four studs or less.

My original plan was to make a squadron of micro starfighters navigating some three-dimensional scene. Somewhere in the process of realizing the concept in LEGO, the scale got away from me and I ended up with a Falcon about five times bigger than anticipated!

With more time and bricks I'd have liked to do an escape from the Death Star II. I think these in red would be perfect for such a scene!

This is a return to my comfort zone with a Star Wars build but perhaps still a bit of a gamble with the diorama element.

This is the male lion coming down from the tree that he had climbed to escape the buffalo that had been chasing him.

Many thanks to everyone that views and comments on my images - very much appreciated.

That's the funny thing about trying to escape. You never really can. Maybe temporarily, but not completely.

Who are you? Will anyone recognize you if you fall? Where do you go to grow, to plant your dreams, to be who you truly are? Does your skin get enough sunlight underneath that mask of silver?

“Reality doesn't impress me. I only believe in intoxication, in ecstasy, and when ordinary life shackles me, I escape, one way or another. No more walls.”

Quote ― Anaïs Nin, Incest: From a Journal of Love

HFF everyone!

This is the view one sees after exiting Titus Canyon in Death Valley National Park. After miles of driving a rutted dirt road through a very narrow canyon this wide expanse is a wonderful sight.
