Seefin at 622m has a commanding vista of the surrounding countryside. This view shows part of the burial mound looking towards Sorrel Hill and Blessington Lakes. When this tomb was built the view would be practically the same as it is today so its understandable why they chose it as a last resting place.
I did enter the tomb down the narrow passageway and found the carvings on the walls which I will show later.
This mountain is very accessible and only takes about an hour round trip from the road. Id recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Our neighbours go on about Stonehenge but its practically new at 3000 year old. This is over 5000 years old and not held together with concrete! I kid you not!!!

I do hope you enjoy and I really am amazed at your wonderful interest and comments! I love this photo as the colours are very good. I always use a Hoya n/d filter for landscapes which improves sky and vegetation colour and set my camera to Vivid or equivalent setting. Just doing these two simple things make a big difference. If I had have known these 2 tips from the start, it would have made a vast difference to my photos! Try it and tell me what you think?

Tamar River Bridge at sunrise time. The Tamar R. (after its English colonial equivalent) now officially has the original local Aboriginal name 'kanamaluka'). The 'living' river is a 70km tidal estuary in northern Tasmania (Australia). It was on our recommended list of Tasmanian must do holiday places to see; and did not let us down with the beautiful sunrise vista colours and reflections; which also represents the colourful style of local Aboriginal paintings.

Since an adult bird is about the equivalent of a nickel in weight they can perch on pretty light material. Here this female perches on a Hosta bud for a second while probing the mature flowers for nectar. In exchange for these tiny birds inserting their long bills and long tongues in the flowers to lap up nectar the flowers get pollinated. They will also feed on tiny insects and small spiders they pluck from the air and spider nests.
At times we may find these little birds perched on an exposed branch but most often we see them hovering with pin-point precision extracting nectar from a tubular flower.
This female is striking a nice pose for me midst a Hosta plant.
