A lone Emelanian militiaman Stands watch over his home. His stony visage is explained by seeing the inside of his home.

These entry doors have been locked up since the 2000's. Since then, only few explorers and graffiti artists have explored what is left of this old, Bad Theme Park.

So in a recent entry from a friend's series (which if you still haven't seen it from the last time I told you to I swear to Jesus Christ Vampire hunter) one of the character's experiences rain for the first time in her life. I just looked at it all "yep, drawing that". Here we are. I did look at the poster for The Sound of Music, but by the time I did I already drew up like 70% of this. The rain wasn't anywhere near as tedious as I thought it would be.

Black kite uses fire by Su_G': entry in Spoonflower's 'Birds of Prey Wallpaper' Design Challenge. © Su Schaefer 2023

My design features the Black Kite, a tool-using Australian bird that spreads fire to hunt prey. Aboriginal traditions, across multiple groups in different areas, portray birds of prey as animals which carry fire… and field research has now confirmed this for black kite, brown falcon. Some say people learned from birds. For more, see sevenages.org/environmental-issues/birds-of-prey-in-austr...

Shown as a wallpaper mockup c/o Spoonflower.

Sorry that the new voting system still (sigh) has bugs... www.spoonflower.com/design-challenge/Birds of Prey Wallpaper is the link for voting - generally open for one week only.

BUT be warned! There are about 950 entries, some of which are not very visible in the low quality rendered wallpaper mockups (those actual designs I checked are of much higher quality).

If you do feel reckless and decide for the "new and exciting" voting experience please let me have some quotable quotes re what worked and what didn't so I can pass them on to Spoonflower. Thank you! :-)

But I understand if that's too much.

This is my first entry for Crafter's Nostalgic Cartoon Contest. If you haven't heard of it, you should check it out. The group is tagged in the photo. Anyways, this is based off my favorite animated show ever, Gravity Falls. Totally recommend it. In the photo, there is (left to right): Blendin Blandin, Waddles, Grunkle Stan, Mabel Pines, Dipper Pines, Soos, and Lil' ol' me, I mean Lil' Gideon. (Admit it, you read Lil' ol' me in a Gideon voice). I did not make Wendy or Ford, and I showed Blendin's back because it looks better than the front. Here are the fig formulas:

Blendin: Clark Kent head, Arctic Batman torso, flesh hands, light bluish-grey legs.

Waddles: Just an official Lego pig.

Grunkle Stan: Fez, Force Awakens Han Solo head, CMF series 1 Magicians torso and legs, flesh hands, Killer Croc Tail-gator 8-Ball.

Mabel: HP Luna Lovegood head and torso, HP Hermione hair, purple short-legs.

Dipper: CMF series 10 Baseball player hat, JW Grey head, red torso, dark-blue legs, and Storm's cape-hand thingie for the vest.

Soos: Black cap, Indiana Jones head, reversed dark-green torso, CMF series 2 Adventurer legs.

Lil' Gideon: Upside down Santa Beard, LBM Robin head, City torso.

A few notes before the end:

1. Captain Crafter's Gravity Falls Figs (say that five times fast) are better, so you can (if you want) go check those out.

2. Dipper's arms are up because then Storm's cape-thingie gives the illusion of a vest.

Th-th-th-that's all folks (new minifigure idea)! Thanks for taking the time to read this, check out the contest, and have a stellar day!

This is what I like about photography. It helps you see the world differently. To me this urban fragment is so photogenic.

Wednesday April 11th 3465 S.E.A.

Bill Died yesterday. In our panic we hid in the small pond inside the arboretum and hoped the water would hide our scent from the wolf. We knew it had been following us as we tried to make our escape we just didn't know how close it was until it was to late. I am ashamed to say that I didn't even look back. As soon as it grabbed Bill I ran like the coward I am and didn't stop until I passed out from exhaustion.

When I came to I found myself in an unfamiliar part of the space station America and by all the medical equipment around I knew I had somehow entered the experiment facility itself. A sudden rage at the idiot scientist filled me and I set out to find why those bastards created such a crime against nature. I quickly booted up a terminal and started sifting through the data.

After what seemed like an eternity I found what I was looking for. The head scientists private notes. Unfortunately I needed his passcard to access the files so I started searching for his office. What I found shook me to my core. As I walked in the first thing I noticed was that it looked like someone had ransacked the room and then I saw the bodies. As I took in the horrible scene something something in the corner caught my attention. It was a human being contained inside a test tube. Quickly I grabbed the passcard from the desk and ran to the terminal, I had to find out just what was going on in this facility.

As I turned I heard it, a soft shuffling coming down the corridor, then I saw its shadow and the horrible truth dawned on me. The creature had made this room its dwelling.

I cannot get out... A shadow lurks in the dark... I cannot get out... It is coming...

A continuation/end to the story I started in "Experiment Gone Wrong" and I would highly suggest reading the other story if you want everything to make sense. Also, by no means am I master writer, so please, don't take the story seriously. I wrote both of them right after I uploaded them and they are bound to have mistakes :P

I would also suggest viewing it on black:
