The Berkeley Municipal Rose Garden entrance. The garden was built in 1937 as a Civil Works Administration project.
At the entry point of Thimpu district. Paro Chhu (River) on the left and Thimpu Chhu (River) on the right meet together to form Wan Chhu. Such meeting of rivers is considered bad since the deities of individual rivers collide here. Hence three 'Stupas' or Chortens are built to counter balance. The one on the left is in Nepalese style, the one in the middle in Tibetan and the one on the right in Bhutanese style.
