Arriving in the city, she was immediately assaulted by the strange scents: smoke, flowers, the hint of prepared food: all overlaid with decay and desperation. There was an odd mixture of urban architecture with pavements and roads consumed by the flowers that spread rampantly throughout, even inside buildings when she peered through hollow windows and broken doorways.

Old church entry hall. The creaking old wooden floor is original on this 19th century beauty. The raised shiny spots on the planks are where the knots are in the wood. Being harder than the softer surrounding cortex, they do not wear down from use. The church sanctuary is actually upstairs on the second floor. It must have been hard for the old folks or the lame to get to the service especially in cold weather when arthritic limbs are stiff and ache. The wear on this floor shows forth the hard usage over the years just like the wear lines and wrinkles of a human face. Do you sense the humanity of it all? Where are these people now? Do they not still have something to tell us? What would it be?

Entry to the womens convent Frauental. There are still a few nuns working and living there, sometimes selling their specialty bakery goods and healing tinctures.
Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Z06 C8 - 2025 model.
Obviously an 'entry level' vehicle, lol.
The Z06 'flagship' Corvette: a 5.5 litre naturally aspirated V8 engine.
Found today along Central Avenue at Thornleigh in northern Sydney.
Parked outside the entry to the Bunnings Home Hardware Store, and opposite McDonalds (where I had gone to get a coffee from McCafe).
