selfie embroidered with gold, orange, and green floss.

I embroidered these pictures of my mother and her siblings on a linen dishtowel for our extended family dirty santa game.

Using the butterfly and dragonfly pattern from the book, Colorful Stitchery by Kristin Nicholas, I hand embroidered these linen pillows using DMC variegated threads.

I bought this denim dress a while ago, thinking I'll embelish it some day. And esmereldes' felt jumpers kind of inspired me to fo this!

Embroidered postcards produced for my Major Project at Uni, March 2010.

Scrim and bits of silk paper embroidered with free motion zig zag stitch

It's a little hard to see in the other pictures, but my tabi had matching flowers embroidered at the toes!

I would rather have worn teal zori, but I don't have any blue or green zori in anywhere near the right shade, so I wore this pair that matched the kimono's general colour scheme.

Very ornate embroidered banner with sequins and mirrors, and a whimsical googly-eyed bat (symbol of happiness) under the crest at the top.

Bronze plated filigrees embroidered with glass seed beads and set off with Swarovski crystal rhinestone centres,

I found five embroidered napkins from Peru in my linen drawer. I thought they would be fun to work with. I am using size 75 button molds, but the "window" has to be fairly large, so there is not a lot of room for embellishment. Almost done with the third one and two more to go!

Buttons covered in linen, about 15mm 5/8".

XV.

In 1548, the Chapel of Sant Jordi was moved to this floor and the gallery was opened onto the (then-new) Orange Tree Courtyard. The chapel was designed in the Flamboyant Gothic style on a square base and roofed with a rib vault. Inside are the figures of the four evangelists and the Catalan coat of arms with the cross of Saint George and the four red stripes of Catalonia. The exuberance and delicacy of the ornamental work carved into the stone make the façade the most spectacular part of the chapel.

The chapel also contains some excellent works of art: an altar cloth embroidered with the story of Saint George by Antoni Sadurní, a reliquary by Felip Ros dated from 1600 and a small statue of Saint George wearing a 15th-century suit of armour.

200 thread count, hand embroidered pillowcase. Standard/Queen size. Vintage design of a puppy.

Cards sent by Walter Stevenson to his wife Lily May and family WWI

This looks to me like a slightly newer piece. The colors and fabric choice don't fit with the others.

One of the gorgeous Hungarian hand-embroidered pillowcases I bought from Hungary in recent years.

These were made before television, when Hungarian women used to spend their winter evenings embroidering.

Work of this complexity could have taken the entire winter, as each petal and each leaf require about 100 loops of thread.

Hand Embroidered Card, with the words 'Mr and Mrs Waterford' hand embroidered with a red silk heart added.

I designed these embroidered bracelets/cuffs to be sewn completely in the hoop. The button hole is stitched out in the hoop too. All you gotta do is sew on a button at the end.

I've been wearing them like crazy and offer them in my etsy shop.

I think the large centre rectangle was darned in. Who knows why?

Silk embroidered postcard (140mm x 89mm) made in France and addressed to Miss Gwen Nevin, Strathalbyn, South Australia.

A small (78mm x 45mm) card, not included in this photograph, that apparently accompanied the larger card is 'from Harold'.

Miss Gwendoline Annie Nevin was born in Burra, South Australia, on 30 October 1900.
