HMM......... this is my choice- a colorful possibility for the Macro Mondays group’s theme of circles for 4/19.

the size and context mosaic is in the first comment box.

this portion measures 1 and 3/4th inches at its widest/tallest

I am surrounded by natural leaves at home in my house and garden, but had trouble finding any man-made ones! I'm hoping that this bit of embroidery by my Aunty Gertie many years ago will do, even though it's "woman-made" - HSoS!

Inspired by soulemama's amazing quilt here! Blogged here!

Needlework is becoming a lost art...

Appliqued felt and cotton fabrics. Three from a series I am working on.

Each circle is about 5.5" (14cm) diameter.

Niqui has been practicing more hand embroidery, this time Spider-Web stitch with Lazy Daisy stitch surround interspersed with French Knots ..

had I the heaven's embroidered cloths

enwrought with golden and silver light

the blue and the dim and the dark cloths

of night and light and the half light

I would spread the cloths under your feet:

but I, being poor, have only my dreams

I have spread my dreams under your feet ;

tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
