Indian Elephant (Elephas maximus indicus), one of three recognised subspecies of the Asian elephant or Asiatic elephant (Elephas maximus) and native to mainland Asia, the largest land animals alive today. Asian elephants are smaller than African elephants and have the highest body point on the head.
Location: Kappukadu, Kottoor(Kottur), Kuttichal, Kattakada, Thriuvananthapuram District, Kerala State, India.
After tracking wild elephants for an hour or so across Kaudulla National Park, Sri Lanka, we finally came across a 30-strong herd grazing by a lake.

i went to the asheboro, NC zoo about a week ago and i just got around to putting up the pictures. i had such a fun time and i wish i could go back again really soon. this is my second zoo that i have ever been to and it was definitely a good time. i got to see animals that i have never seen before in my whole life, which was fascinating and exciting all at the same time!
