A few weeks ago, I saw an amazing photo of lightning from Mike Jones and so when a storm rolled in tonight, I was inspired to give it a try and see if I could get anything worth posting.

U2's Electrical Storm:
of an old Philco radio. I did take this photo for WAH’s mechanical abstract theme. I forgot about the abstract part. And the mechanism that helps the dials turn in the front is hidden.
I'm still on my art filter kick, but with a difference this time around as I decided it was time to take my 35-year-old SMC Pentax 55mm f/1.8 out for a quick spin adapted to the E-M5. In an alley way off of Howe Street, downtown Vancouver. October 11, 2012.

Found on the side of a building that has been converted into apartments, plus a Walgreens, on the corner of Belmont & Sheffield, in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, United States. O.B. McClintock Co. operated from 1917 - 1947, when it was acquired by Diebold.

電柱の脇に仮設柱を立てる。仮設柱に電線を移す（いまここ）。電柱を抜いて新電柱を建てる。電線を新電柱に移す。仮設柱を抜く。それぞれの作業は間（1カ月とか長いと1年とか）をおいて実施されるのでまだるっこしい。

Kalimar 110 SpyCam. No filtering. Eastman 16mm Vision 3, 250D from 100ft spool, reloaded into empty 110 cassette. ISO 250, D=Daylight film. Home processed C-41. Converted to b&w because colour was not to my liking. Camera is purple on in the below image.
These are a set of maintenance drones to fix any errors within in hardware. The large drone has a soldering iron and wrench whereas the smaller drone has soldering iron hands and a flashlight
Spent a lot of time on the London Underground recently. This is one of the vaguely symmetrical clusters of wires and apparatus that caught my eye. evetheblog.wordpress.com/2026/05/20/another-48-hours/
... uh, yeah, someone dressed up as a stripper... at Dragon*Con? Seemed a bit redundant to me (as there are lots of scantily clad ladies (and guys) at this con. But she was very cute with the smeared eyeliner and electrical tape pasties.

A portion of the Electrical Water Pageant that takes place several times nightly on Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake at Walt Disney World. The Grand Floridian Resort is in the background. We've been viewing this for 23 years and I'm still not tired of it!
The EWP features fourteen floats with lights that depict images of sea creatures. It was originally set to the tune of Baroque Hoedown by Jean-Jacques Perrey and Gershon Kingsley, and now has different musical themes for each float, the main theme being Fanfare from The Little Mermaid. It is the predecessor to the classic Main Street Electrical Parade, which used an updated version of Baroque Hoedown by Don Dorsey. Floats include King Triton, a sea serpent, dolphins, and turtles. At the end of the show, the floats turn into lighted flags and stars, for a patriotic finale. A record for the show's music was released in 1973.
