Stanley Katz, director of the Center for Arts and Cultural Policy Studies at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, moderated a panel discussion about the 2016 presidential election. A Q&A session and discussion with the audience followed along with commentary from the panelists.
Panelists included Ruth Mandel, director of Rutgers’ Eagleton Institute of Politics and founder of Eagleton’s Center for American Women and Politics; Sam Wang, professor of molecular biology and neuroscience at Princeton University and member of the Princeton Election Consortium; and Charles Stile, veteran political columnist at The Record of Bergen County.

Edmonton has released election results as part of its open data catalogue. On the day of the election, the chart you see will update every 5-10 minutes displaying election results for Mayor, Councillor, Catholic School Board Trustee, and Public School Board Trustee in all of the separate wards.
The White House South Portico is visible from a distance on election day evening. Authorities and shop owners continue to prepare for election day protests as the final hours of the 2020 election come to an end. Security measures were in place and people began to gather on Black Lives Matter Plaza and around the DC area.

Employees' Time Off for Voting
If a voter does not have sufficient time outside of working hours to vote at a statewide election, the voter may, without loss of pay, take off enough working time that, which when added to the voting time available outside of working hours, will enable the voter to vote.
No more than two hours of the time taken off for voting shall be without loss of pay. The time off for voting shall be only at the beginning or end of the regular working shift, whichever allows the most free time for voting and the least time off from the regular working shift, unless otherwise mutually agreed.
If the employee on the third working day prior to the day of election, knows or has reason to believe that time off will be necessary to be able to vote on election day, the employee shall give the employer at least two working days' notice that time off for voting is desired, in accordance with this section.

In other words, Californians, plan ahead, get out there and vote on November 2nd. It's your right.

In Primary our wonderful Year 6 pupils gave very impressive speeches to their House groups to ask for pupils to vote for them as House Prefects. Each pupil in Key Stage 2 had the difficult decision of choosing just 2 for each House from a large number of enthusiastic and capable candidates. The votes will be counted and announced very soon. Well done to all the Year 6 candidates. You all demonstrated great confidence and energy.

The British Embassy Budapest organised an Election Night party on 6 May 2010. The programme included welcoming remarks by HM Ambassador Greg Dorey and Election Analyst Robert Laszlo from Political Capital, "news feeds" from UK news networks during the entire evening, a free UK Election 2010 guide, a "dummy election" and a pub quiz on UK history, the electoral system and the candidates.
