First Bangladeshi general election since 2001. Bangladesh was under the ruling of Caretaker Government for the last two years when the January 2007 election was canceled. With historical violence in past elections, the 2008 election proved to be a fair and credible election.

I performed my first official act of adult-hood today. I never really saw the big deal with everyone being like "YOU HAVE TO VOTE" and I'm not going to lie, I still don't see the big deal. I did realize though that if we want to do our part and have a say in the future of our country then we must participate in elections.
By the way, I think Mickey Mouse should be President. It would be free ears for everyone! Oh and you would randomly get free ice cream and stuff. Except we would have to eat theme park food and everything would be overpriced.
And my checks are always extremely rosy. I never mind it though. Except when people ask me "Are you always that pale and rosy-checked?"

On June 14, the BCCK hosted a Breakfast Workshop on the implications that the June 8 general election will have on the Brexit process. The event featured as speaker Herbert Smith Freehills Chief Representative Mike McClure. Mr. McClure discussed the background of the general election, the current status of the Brexit process, and things to consider moving forward. Ms. Mel Barlow, Economic Counsellor at the British Embassy Seoul, provided welcoming remarks. The event was held at the Millennium Seoul Hilton.
