I haven't gotten the shot I'm looking for yet with our Estes rocket but getting close!

This was just one of a series of test shots I took whilst playing with a light sabre. I was looking to see what effects they produced. I quite liked this one so I posted it. I dont like the fact this one makes a noise. I may try and disconnect the speaker leads.

Week #46 ~ DIY Effects

For this week's challenge I used a TLR camera (Twin Lens Reflex) and my digital camera. The concept is to compose the image using the TLR camera and record the image that appears on its viewfinder screen with a digital camera. I used the steps outlined in Chris Gatcum's book "Creative Digital Photograpy - 52 weekend projects" (a great book for ideas and DIY photo projects) (www.amazon.co.uk/Creative-Digital-Photography-Weekend-Pro...)

The only post processing I did was to crop the images - it was a bit tricky to get the focus any way sharp! Happy with the vintage look of the resulting images. Taken around Killruddery Estate.

Thanks to Derek for the loan of his Kodak TLR camera.
