Heyyy gente! Postei essa foto aqui por dois motivos:
1º - A Vic Hollo é liiiiiiiinda <3
Photo taken and edited with iphone4, camera apps: Hipstamatic and ProCamera, edit apps: Superimpose, Noir Photo, Afterlight, Halftones 2, Photo Power, Phonto.

The Observer Effect: refers to changes that the act of observing will make on the phenomenon being observed.
Is this a self-portrait? The capture of the shadow of a tree?
Whatever it is, I like it so I'm sharing it.
And it's HDR.
Sometimes I like to jazz-up a pic purely to make it somewhat different to the norm. Roses are always beautiful 'au naturelle' but I liked the impact of the colourful effect on this one.
My go to post processing is usually done with Paintshop Pro , but I used 'Smart Photo Editor' for this pic. They have hundreds of instant artistic effects to choose from, which themselves can be altered/ adjusted to your own taste. They are effects that have been submitted by the site's users. It's great fun and gets the creative juices flowing.
Hamilton Gardens is a terrific place to visit is with its feature of many different types of intriguing and unique garden designs. Brilliant. There's this pond connecting some of the gardens. When passing I couldn't help noticing the strong and profound reflections created by the surrounding planting. It was a calm day so hardly any wind movements in the water. Not easy to find an intersting angel to shoot from (not made easier by the many people visiting that day) but I like the drama of the clouds. Nice quiet moment of exploring.
Moments after 1003's train cleared, IC SD70 1000 leads CN L521 west through Gary, IN. As I said, these things are everywhere!
That's what i was immediately reminded.
I later saw on flickr, that i wasn't the only one who though about that title ;)
My views somehow go crazy today... This one got over a 1000 views in a few seconds. What's up flickr?
K1 - with FA 100mm Macro lens - 1919 972 Railroad Grade Hamilton 17 Jewel Watch, adjusted to 5 positions, Double Roller. Over a period of time after some disasterous collisions, the railroad companies each began to establish stringent requirements for time keeping capabilities of railroad grade watches, and in 1885 the General Time Convention began working on an industry wide Standard Code of Railroad Operating Rules, which are still effect today. These rules required the watches to be able to hold time within 30 seconds a week. This almost 99 year old watch would need some cleaning and probably some adjustments to keep that requirement. But, it is a steady runner and on a daily basis keeps reasonable (non-railroad) time.

This is the interior of Plainfield Station outside of Woodland, California...Owned and operated by Pietro Fazzari, he makes one hell of a mean burger and in 1996, a scene from the movie, "Trigger Effect" was filmed here...Pete's burgers must have that effect on some people...

Flickr has essentially been down on my home pc for over 24 hours now. It's been rather frustrating to say the least. I've had access from my laptop's work connection so I'm not completely without access. I've posted multiple queries in the Flickr Help forum but so far no clear resolution is in sight. It seems there's a problem somewhere along the path between my ISP and Flickr and Flickr support staff continue to investigate. Anyone else having problems these past few days?
