I took this for a bit of fun and to try something I'd seen others do. I set my lens to 70mm and as I took the photo I zoomed out. I took a few shots trying to get the timing right. In the end I was happy with the result. I like that it perceives lots of

movement within the frame, when in fact I and everything else was almost completely stationary.

As written previously some strange encounters and experiences only hit the full impact mark with some delay.

On a recent event I was viciously struck, once again, by the fact how people are trying so hard to stand out from the crowd.

Clutching for recognition haunted and conforming to some distant paradigm.

In an almost perverted way of begging for attention, they act just merely all the same…

Waiting for a miracle to get noticed, dwelling around (could be a side effect of too many mojo-cocktails though) with eyes closed to their own originality.

Peculiar fact: they want to stand out and simultaneously being simply slightly different from the crowd terrifies them …

Exhausted by too much conversation, by all those attempts to come up with jokey and lively epigrams as the hours and the evening evolve, they seem to fill less and less the room, a kind of emptiness silently surrounding them. Awaiting some miracle solution or advice on how to navigate the crowd.

Wouldn’t it be more simple, every now and then, just to merciless avoid the crowd and just stand tall, against the wind …

Hot water freezing faster than cold water at low temperatures? Yes, it’s a strange water property known as “Mpemba effect”. I decided to try it out. This is my version, with a little help from a thermos and my muse of course :)

My first try on this, hopefully will get to take a better shot in the future.

Went for a stroll around Mudeford Quay, and the low cloud created a very moody almost monochrome effect.

This was the view across the entrance to Christchurch Harbour to Mudeford Spit.

This surreal effect was created by the mid-day sun reflecting back off the water and on to the wings. The exposure of the wing was then dialed up.

Not everyone likes these tonings but I love the look of lomo. Not every photo suits it. I found an action by PBB that gives this effect with the click of a mouse.

The Harris Shutter effect was created by Robert Harris of Kodak.

The effect was originally created by re-exposing the same piece of film three times through three different colored filters while keeping the camera steady.

I used three different shots of white smoke rising out of this pitcher. I processed one with the blue channel, so the picture was completely blue, one with the red channel, and one with the green channel. I then combined the three photos. This exercise is useful in showing how the three colors are used in light to create a whole range of colors.

MY FRIENDS, IN THIS DAYS I AM OFTEN THINKING ON HOW RELATED the events of our personal life and our world ARE ( wars, tragedies, earthquakes here and there, floods, hurricanes etc..)

IT MAKES MY FEEL VERY "SMALL ".

I WISH YOU A THOUGHTFUL WEEK!

The butterfly effect is a metaphor that encapsulates the concept of sensitive dependence on initial conditions in chaos theory; namely that small differences in the initial condition of a dynamical system may produce large variations in the long term behavior of the system.

The term "butterfly effect" itself is related to the work of Edward Lorenz, and is based in chaos theory and sensitive dependence on initial conditions, already described in the literature in a particular case of the three-body problem by Henri Poincaré in 1890[1]. He even later proposed that such phenomena could be common, say in meteorology. In 1898[2] Jacques Hadamard noted general divergence of trajectories in spaces of negative curvature, and Pierre Duhem discussed the possible general significance of this in 1908[3]. The idea that one butterfly could eventually have a far-reaching ripple effect on subsequent historic events. [WIKI]

The ministry of time

Chapter II: The Mystery of the Incubators

The style card and credits here

Sam found himself alone in the laboratory, the dim lights flickering intermittently over the equipment. A bottle of beer was within his reach as he immersed himself in his thoughts. Recently, an unusual event had shaken his scientific world: the disappearance of a body from the incubators. This act not only defied the laws but also raised serious questions about the integrity of the timeline.

As the golden liquid flowed down his throat, Sam pondered the possible devastating consequences that this incident could unleash. What effect would it have on historical evolution? How would it alter temporal continuity? These questions haunted him, filling his mind with unease and concern.

An even more alarming idea seized his thoughts: Who could have orchestrated this act and for what purpose? Time travel technology was heavily regulated, its illegal use a serious offense. Only a few would have access to it, and none of them would have noble motives to carry out such an action.

As Sam delved into his reflections, a determination grew within him: he must uncover the truth behind this enigma. Not only for the sake of the scientific community and temporal stability but also for his insatiable thirst for knowledge. With determination in his gaze, he promised himself that he would not rest until he found answers and ensured that temporal integrity remained intact.
