Sunrise over the northern side of Little Bay, Sydney. What initially looked like a pretty bland sky suddenly generated some lovely light as the sun peaked, and an incoming tide provided some nice water flow over the shelf.
Nikon D800 & Nikkor 16-35mm, Lee 1.2 GND filter. PP in PS CC using Nik Software and luminosity masks.
The shadow from another ballerina created a very interesting effect as this magnificent ballerina did his piruettes in the air

The "Butterfly Effect", or more technically the "sensitive dependence on initial conditions", is the essence of chaos.
"Ripple Effect:" Standing alongside one of the fast-flowing rapids of the Colorado River down in the Grand Canyon, seen splashing along towards the middle of the image, I became aware of some ripples in the sand below the water's surface near the shoreline. I kept having to move further back as the water level was rising throughout this particular evening and overnight. It was interesting to study how the changing flows of water affected not just our ride on the rafts, but the scenery surrounding the river.
Yellow] : produces a warming effect, arouses cheerfulness, stimulates mental activity, and generates muscle energy. Yellow is often associated with food. Bright, pure yellow is an attention getter, which is the reason taxicabs are painted this color. When overused, yellow may have a disturbing effect; it is known that babies cry more in yellow rooms. Yellow is seen before other colors when placed against black; this combination is often used to issue a warning. In heraldry, yellow indicates honor and loyalty. Later the meaning of yellow was connected with cowardice.
The Observer Effect: refers to changes that the act of observing will make on the phenomenon being observed.

This is my last photograph taken + editted for my Photography course I took in Summer 2019. It was so much fun experimenting with equipment I never thought I'd have the chance too, as well as discovering a passion I had that I didn't even know existed! I still have my phone camera (IPhone 7) that I'll be taking photographs with, hopefully I'll still be able to post some more once I have access to Photoshop (or just post them unedited, that also works!)

Kookaburras are terrestrial tree kingfishers of the genus Dacelo native to Australia and New Guinea, which grow to between 28–42 cm in length. The name is a loanword from Wiradjuri guuguubarra, onomatopoeic of its call. The loud distinctive call of the laughing kookaburra is widely used as a stock sound effect in situations that involve an Australian bush setting or tropical jungle, especially in older movies. They are found in habitats ranging from humid forest to arid savanna, as well as in suburban areas with tall trees or near running water. Even though they belong to the larger group known as 'kingfishers', kookaburras are not closely associated with water. Kookaburras are almost exclusively carnivorous, eating mice, snakes, insects, small reptiles, and the young of other birds; unlike many other kingfishers, they rarely eat fish, although they have been known to take goldfish from garden ponds. For me there are multiple stories being told with this photo. Primarily it is the story of an incredible creation with intricate detail, and it should make anyone marvel at the 'Artist' who created this. You have to just wonder how so many people can be blinded as to giving credit where it is due. Simple 'cause and effect' logic makes you wonder about the 'Cause' when you see this effect.
THE OTHER STORY is the amazing iphone4. I just MARVEL at the fact that I can get a photo like this with the cam on my phone that is with me everywhere, all the time. Who needs a $2500 SLR that weighs a ton, is bulky, takes years to learn how to use, intimidates / scares away your subjects, etc., when you can take pix like this with your phone? And it's not just the hardware, it's the software people at Apple I give credit to that makes that camera work SO great. The camera on the iphone 4 is MUCH better than the previous iphones. As a dedicated photographer I can still hardly believe what a quality camera they have packed into that little phone. Apple, I love you. But I love the Hopper creator more, hehehe.
3rd story- trivial, but well, we like trivia sometimes don't we. While checking EXIF data after posting this noticed the unique time photo was taken 10am (almost) on 10/10/10
That's what i was immediately reminded.
I later saw on flickr, that i wasn't the only one who though about that title ;)

Golden Gate Park. Oddly for SF, this isn't fog. It's the water dropping off the trees from a rainbird.
When you paint with watercolour and add salt on it while the paint is still wet, this is the effect you will get. It made me smile when I saw that and had to capture it. I will go back tomorrow and attempt a macro shot with my point and shoot before it washes out by the rain. This is part of a bridge.
