The Valdosta-Lowndes Retired Educators Association meeting was held on Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Holiday Inn in Valdosta, GA. The legislators were present to answer questions before the business meeting and delicious lunch buffet was enjoyed by many.
One of the first events that educators participated in for the Educator Leadership Rendezvous was a goose chase. They had to complete all of the tasks on the list. The ELR was hosted by the Wyoming National Guard, July 30 to Aug. 1, 2024 at Camp Guernsey Joint Training Center, Wyo. Educators learn about all of the options for jobs within the military and take the knowledge back to their students so that they have an additional option to think about after they complete school. CBMM hosted educators and their families from across the Eastern Shore and beyond at its third annual Education Professionals Gratitude Day on June 20, 2025. The honored guests enjoyed free admission, plus a host of special activities designed to highlight CBMM’s mission, educational programming, and community partnerships.
