A Conrail Metuchen-based local shoves across the busy six-lane U.S. 1 grade crossing with a splat (shove platform) and a single CSX 50' box car. Evening rush-hour has just begun and a line of traffic is visible in the distance. The cars are held at a traffic light that has been preempted by the grade crossing signals (this feature is no doubt appreciated by crews). The short train is headed to RPM Warehousing in Edison a short distance away.
