Finally uploading photos from a short side trip: Ronchamp, France. This is the church Notre Dame de Haute at Ronchamp, by Swiss architect Le Corbusier. Here is the set, though I'd encourage a brief tour of the slideshow. Enjoy this famous and notable work of architecture!
Blue-green water and surf meet the edge of the continent, Big Sur Coast.
called this “Water’s Edge,” but I could also have called it “Continent’s Edge.” Beyond and above this little vignette of sand and rocks and water and foam lies the entire Pacific Ocean, and behind it lies the North American continent. The location is some likely-nameless spot along the Pacific Coast Highway as it passes through the Big Sur region of Central California.
I had stopped to consider photographing something else when I happened to walk close enough to the edge of the drop-off to see all the way down to the small, rocky beach. I spent a few moments watching and photographing the constantly changing patterns where the blue-green water meets the beach.

Upon our arrival Grand Canyon presented itself in glorious condition with various weather all over. We later learned that the distant rains towards the north west that day killed a group of schoolchildren in a bus, due to dramatic flash flood in a narrow canyon, near Colorado City (on the border between Arizona and Utah). Dramatic scenery indeed.

The positioning of the yellow safety line along the narrow platforms at Sandwell and Dudley Station do not provide much space for waiting passengers. A southbound Voyager passes through with 1B11 0818 Shrewsbury to London Euston.

Captured on the cliffs of Portugal, where land meets the roaring Atlantic. A lone fisherman stands fearless on a narrow rock ledge, embraced by the golden mist of the setting sun.

The sign and fence at the far end of the Chatham Light Beach parking lot is about 5 feet from the edge of the cliff. By this time next year, or sooner, the sign, along with the parking lot will start to fall into the sea.

One of my great contacts has mentioned about being edgy lately. I thought about it, and concluded that it might not be a bad thing.
There are several meanings of the word “Edge”, but I found “a slight competitive advantage” and “the outside limit of an object or surface” to be most constructive.
We all have our strength and flaws, but as long as you keep improving your weakness, you will develop greater strength over time. That’s the “Edge” in you that make you stand out among the rest, and no one can take away.

Another photo form the wonderful sunset on Saturday afternoon. I'm a little too close to the object rock here and the road is poorly positioned. Not having a viewfinder on the EOS M is a real pain. I went back the following day with the 5D but there was no repeat of the spectacle.
Birchen Edge is a relatively small outcrop of Millstone Grit, close to the town of Baslow, in the Derbyshire Peak District. I was a “regular” there, in the seventies as it was known for its short, “less demanding” climbs. Looking, yesterday, at some of the routes that I did over fifty years ago, a lot of the holds appear significantly more “rounded” than I remember them. I guess the same could be said of me!

The building “The Edge” is an eleven-storey glass prism. An office building with a dynamic expression. Its continuous glass facade interplays between transparent, translucent and opaque. A true signature building in its neighborhood.

When you're feeling tired and weary you can always pop up onto the easily accessible Stanage Edge. With it's West facing cliffs and jaw dropping scenery it's no surprise it's so popular. Today I was rewarded with warm light *and* a fantastic sky. Even the waves of smoke from the controlled heather burning didn't block out the light.
