Anarchy is a fully immersive combat sim with three different levels. Home to grimly zombies, all weapons permitted, and PVP combat welcome. The levels include a cave system, winter forest, and an open, post-apocalyptic ground level. No rules, just combat.

A new restaurant in our area. I love the design. The designers have thought about every detail, the decor is modern & earthy & creates a great atmosphere. The food is fabulous. And there is a boutique beer tasting on tap, bit different to wine tastings.
Not as many as last year, but there is still time. They were still popping up in the frost last year. Grammar School Stafford UK 13th November 2022
This is an ancient shot that I keep circling back to. Portra 400 on an overcast day. Never been a huge saturation fan so I've always come back to this as just a lovely set of tones.
Today I did another Secret Photo-shoot (using photos I took recently and left in my unfinished folder). Here is one I took a couple weeks ago... "The subject, setting, moment was just right moments".
A lady by the name of Starrkitten Aabye in SecondLife was showing me around a sim art gallery where she works. She was a real pretty avi... and during the tour... she was standing in front of a perfect forest oil painting!! I had to take a pic.
Here is the result.

Young Earthy Webcap in mixed deciduous woodland, mainly Turkey Oak. The unusual, strong earthy smell is a good indicator. as are the widely spaced gills and lateral cracking of the stipe.
“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” — Jane Goodall
A smidge late on my Earth Day post, but here it be! I romped in the forest with my sweet Ziggy on Saturday and shot this image, which is very indicative of my feelings of nature. Beautiful, mystical, and a little creepy, depending on our perspectives.

Earth Day is my favorite day of the year. A collective acknowledgement of the one thing that ties all of us together, and hopefully an acknowledgement of each of our individual impacts upon it. It's easy to feel overwhelmed by what appear to be abrupt weather changes and shifts on our sweet planet. Or to feel like small measures taken by each of us won't do much in the long run. But these small measures are what's needed. Not just for the planet, but for our *own* survival and that of our children.
⭐️
I do believe there's an underlying arrogance to thinking we are saving the planet, and I myself have used those words countless times. But the truth is we are saving ourselves in making these shifts. Our incredible Earth was here eons before we were and will be here eons beyond when we've passed on. She'll evolve and morph and shift, but can we keep up with those changes? Many of which we've caused and accelerated.
⭐️
There's a need for accountability and also a feeling of resolution rather than despair or dismissiveness here. I've noticed a real trend in articles or sentiments shared that go on and on about the problems of the world rather than focusing on potential solutions. So I'd rather not contribute in that way. The following are some things you can do to help reduce your carbon footprint!
💚 Drive less, carpool more, use public transit, bicycle or walk
🌿 Ditch plastic straws entirely
💚 Bring a reusable travel mug with you to your favorite coffee shop
🌿 Compost! Composting at home is more accessible than ever now.
💚 Shift your diet to be more plant based if it isn't already. Even swapping out a meat or dairy based meal once a week for something vegetable oriented makes a HUGE difference! The idea of all or nothing here always baffles me and is challenging for many. So try to commit to swapping things here and there--try oat milk (it's so good!) rather than dairy milk. Skip the beef in your burrito and go heavy on the beans! Little shifts like this can not only make a difference environmentally but also health wise.
🌿 Bring utensils, plates, and bowls to work if you work in an office that uses disposables
💚 Invest in a solid reusable water bottle. I love my Hydro Flask, personally!
🌿 Avoid takeout food that uses styrofoam containers
I hope this list helps spark new ideas for you in ways you can help reduce your impact. Mindfulness is very challenging, but if we take small steps here and there, eventually we can greatly reduce our impact.

Girl with the flower
(August 30, 2009)
“Et incarnatus est de Spiritu Sancto ex Maria Virgine, et homo factus est”
PART I
Incarnation, the word is
poetry itself
not the image of Renaissance repose
with tall multi-stemmed lily in hand
not that Botticelli’s Cestello painting isn’t
exquisite
nor that the vestal, openly-ovular, stamen-
studded flower isn’t vividly
serenely symbolic
but it is anachronistic artistry
far-removed from the earthy
palette of annunciation
so I will paint with words, not
multi-hued oil paste
There is a moment of convergence between
his painting and mine, where
celestial light emanates from unseen source in the ordered room
(though I envision her outside in an olive grove
at the time of the angel’s intercession)
She of swarthy complexion, too young
for the wisdom necessary
hard-working peasant hands stained
with black olives
chipped fingers by dry stone and
arid, fertile soil
lustrous dark wild hair
but deep, pensive, pure eyes
She could always say no to the offer
Offer? Decree? Command? Announcement?
Angelic presence not calming nor soothing, could
a mere mortal actually decline?
Could she actually accept such a life-changing
culture-contravening, audacious venture?
Yet she kneels down on bruised knee
lies flat before the angel
perhaps seeing the grave
danger in acceptance
the futility of 33 years’ gestation
the foreshadowing of darkness
and light (now filtering
flickering through olive trees’
verdant canopy)
She accepts, accedes, even acquiesces
she nods, bows, prostrates herself
no virgin queen, no noble mantle
she opens to incarnation
to its absurdity and abundance
changes the history of our
world, our universe

I almost stepped on these little guys. Fortunately it was rough terrain and I had my eyes on where my feet were going.

On a drive out, with picnic, came across the most beautiful sight, millions of Poppies, in the sunshine! A dream come true to find this sight/site!
From my last trip here at the end of October and I thought it would look nice for Thanksgiving.
I'm thankful for the love of family, my two boys, caring friends, my two adorable dogs, secure employment, my own home (with gas heat!), a truck that gets me where I want to go, all the places I've been able to get to, everything I've been able to do with photography helping me to learn, grow, and get better with this passion, and to all my great Flickr friends, I'm so thankful for all of your continued encouragement and support. You've made this past year a great ride and a real joy for me! I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving wherever you are!
Thanks again for stopping by!

Today, I gave my angel her wings to fly to home. She was an incredible first dog. She is my best friend and my partner. She helped me move pass the fears of pain in my leg from my accident. She helped me get out and meet some amazing people along the way. I will forever be indebted to her for making me feel loved no matter what. I know there is more to write but I just can't right now. There will be more collages of time spent in the future. This is just from this year. So many memories in such a little time.
Bless you, Whimsy Woo. We will be together again very soon. I know it!

If I weigh my Amazon purchases against those from the thrift store, I’m hoping I come out carbon-neutral.
Is it oxymoronic to consider my outfit “earthy” when so much of it comes from overseas via Amazon? I’m hoping the secondhand vest and sandals balance things out.
Vest, Tinseltown (cut from a consignment jacket). Tank, Kamissy. Skirt, Wevez. Sandals, Birkenstock (thrifted). Brooches, thrifted or gifted. Necklace, Zad. Bag, Fossil.
Meherabad was dry clean and not as dusty as towns in India can get. A railway line ran straight through the scabrous brown patches of vegetation and mountainside.
Triumphant in an earthy red shirt and khaki pants and a Gandhi cap of white which had seen better days, stood the railway lineman waiting nonchalantly for the train to arrive at the level crossing of the road leading to the old house and samadhi of the Meher Baba.
Sparse traffic of a bullock cart or two, a few cars lined up on one side waiting.
A wonderful opportunity to set up a series of shots of the approaching train and the railwayman showing the manual red and green flags appeared heaven sent.
Armed with a wide angle lens and nifty adjustment of the aperture and shutter, reeled off a series right from the time here where the train is expected to later when the train whizzes by.
