Accompanying the previously uploaded police car was this police car from MeckPom. I have no idea what they were doing to this day. Nothing that's usually part of their work, I suppose.

MVL = Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Landesregierung etc.

Sitting in the same lot that the VW Sharon is sitting at. No plates and no badges to suggest what engine it is. I would assume that it's the 220 CDI, since these where extremely common at one point, especially as Taxi's

Wild 2014 E class, roaming the land.

Location: Berlin - 405km from home.

Although this plate could have several meanings, I am very sure it's meant to denote the German word "Pole", that's just 'Pole, Polishman' in English.

It's not uncommon to have Germans with Polish background register their cars in Poland, especially if they move "back".

E = Lodzkie

A Mercedes-Benz E-Class V213 photographed at a Mercedes dealership in Shenyang, Liaoning province, China.

For the 213 generation, Mercedes decided to produce in China the short and the stretch sedan.

For the stretch version, Mercedes did special effort : new rear seats and a third side window. More than just a longer rear door.

Stretch E-Class 213 has three gas engines : 2.0 184hp (200L) and 245hp (300L) and V6 3.0 272hp (320L). 4WD is available on 200L and 320L.

Sold for 436.800 to 629.800 RMB (about €58.000-83.600 or US $63.400-91.300).

Thanks guys for your visit, comments and Favs ,Good day !!!

Impressive mileage on this one, 253,000 at its last MoT in May 2015. It hasn't been doing so much in recent years, but up to 2008 it was doing over 20k a year.

Location: Berlin - 648km from home.

These plates are pretty rare to spot, despite being legal in Germany.

Quite an interesting spot, possibly the best Greek plate ever. These tax-exempt plates are easily identifiable by their color. I don't know what the threshold is to get a tax-exempt plate. Since this plate can still be spotted in Berlin, I am certain the owner has good reasons to use it that way.

Usually I wouldn't bother spotting a French E-Class from Paris. But this one is different - as it is a taxi. My first French taxi in Germany. It featured G7 stickers, a taxi operator in France and has several window stickers that probably are all kinds of permits to taxi someone around, but the most obvious feature is the "Taxi"-rack on top. I am very confident this car drove to Germany taxiing someone from France to Düsseldorf, possibly a wealthier Arab.

One man and his bus. On a visit to the C.I.E. garage in Capwell, Cork in 1984, permission had to be sought before gaining access to the yard.

An encounter with the chief driving instructor no less was the point of initial contact. A real bus man through and through, whose enthuiasm for all things buses and all things Cork was captivating. Only too delighted that two Dublin 'jackeens' ("Shamrock 105" & myself) had made the voyage to Cork. We were treated like royalty, nothing was a problem. As far as I recall this gentleman's name was Pierce?

Before setting off in his pride and joy, 'his bus', E67 he posed beside it.

Seen alongside is one of the last Atlantean's to wear the blue & cream livery, D329.

Mercedes E-Class with Swiss Diplomatic plate at Chalon sur Saône.

It's the first time I see a diplomatic car at Chalon, in a middle of hard discount shops which is quite strange.

And just another Belgium diplomatic plate, definitely a very common plate for me to spot, but still a foreign diplomat.

Portuguese plates are extremely hard to find in Berlin, at least for European plates. That's obviously due to the distance between the two locations. I probably don't get to see one each month, but that's also caused by the fact where I'm spotting. I am sure they're a little bit more frequent in non-touristic areas and most Portuguese come here by plane.

February 2018

This Mercedes-Benz 200 was delivered new on 19th May 1981 by Mercedes-Benz Longchamp in Paris. Presented in outstandingly original condition, the car has enjoyed single-family ownership from new (uncle and nephew) and has covered a certified circa 54.500 km. The second Carte Grise is on file together with a photocopy of the first. The owners were wealthy landowners, who never drove the Mercedes in the rain and on longer trips often transported it by train. When not in use it was kept garaged, protected by a cover.

The colour combination is particularly appealing: Walnut Brown with Saffron Light Tan interior in MB Tex fabric. The original paintwork is beautifully preserved, as is the upholstery, which has been protected since delivery by made-to-measure zipped covers and has never seen the light of day. Factory fitted options include power steering, central locking, lockable glove compartment, folding front armrest, electrically heated rear window, halogen fog lamps, parcel nets, and rear courtesy light. The first owner had the right-side door mirror fitted by Mercedes-Benz, and the car also retains its original Blaupunkt Montreux radio, complete with instruction manual.

This relatively new E-Class was one of three Russian vehicles in two days to feature triple letters, which is super cool to see. All of them were from Kaliningrad as well.

Dutch taxis aren't that rare in Düsseldorf - for whatever reason. I suppose it's mostly wealthy Arabs/Russians who would take a taxi from Holland to Germany - it's just almost pointless. This Taxi was definitely used as a taxi when I've spotted it.

W210

With its characteristic "four-eyes face", the W210 series E-class marked a milestone in automobile design in 1995, and won the coveted "red dot design award". Its formal beauty is coupled with technical intelligence : the electronic stability program ESP, the xenon headlights, additional airbags around the head and shoulders, the rain sensor for the windscreen wipers and the parking sensor PARKTRONIC make driving the E-Class even safer and more pleasant.

I like the simplicity of those wheel covers, they really match the straightforward but elegant design of the W124.
