The Chrysler E-Class is a K-car variant just below the New Yorker in equipment and price. I believe this is an 1984 model with the revised tail lights but still retaining the stand up hood badge. One of 32,237 made for that year.
German themed Taxi makeover of the under utilised Majorette Mercedes-Benz E-Class All Terrain picked up recently from the Ca La Madrona toy shop in Vilafranca who have recently become official stockists. An obvious but most welcome recolour which really suits its clean plain cream colour and roof mounted sign.
Part of the newly reorganised City sub series which still falls into semi-premium status hence its opening rear hatch, working suspension and all round detailing.

Ex CIÉ Maybach diesel shunting locomotive E421 takes an ITG special out of Downpatrick station during the ITG's 'Diesel Day' on 7th March 2010.
So today we finally got to pick up the new car we'd ordered and paid a small deposit on last September. Why today? you might ask. This is because we'd ordered a car built to our own specification but it got stuck in Germany due to Lockdown . Picking it up from the main dealer was akin to shopping online with the final payment and extra insurance done online before we drove to pick it up. It's a weird feeling I must say because we hadn't even had a test drive but all apprehensions disappeared as we drove home - according to Huw, she drives like a dream and my view as the passenger is that it's comfortable beyond. Now , what to name her? ........ 🤔
Met No.1 leads 'The District Pioneer' back through Ealing Common having come back out of the sidings at Ealing Common Depot to make it's way to Ealing Broadway. Undertaking this maneuver meant that people got a double helping of the train coming and going in the morning and evening.
The station here is on a curve and was often packed with enthusiasts, photographers and passengers over the weekend so getting a good shot was difficult. Made even more so by the less tolerant of the railway photographer fraternity who roundly abused me for daring to venture anywhere near them or their shot. The irony was that I was trying to get out of their way at the time!
65 of the E class were built in England in 1902 to 1903 by 3 different companies Nasmyth, Wilson and Co, Vulcan Foundry and North British Locomotive company. All but 4 were rebuilt over 1924 and 1925 and classed Es. They were all withdrawn by October 1963 with only Es308 going into preservation at the ARHS museum at Bassendean photographed on 13-7-08

My Ukrainian plate spots have declined by a lot this year. I am seeing only a handful of passenger cars, unfortunately.
I was pleasantly surprised to spot this cool plate from Donets, a code that's rare to spot even in non-pandemic years. This plate is close from perfection.

The Cowan/ Malkin/ Broad driver team drove this Mercedes-Benz 280 E to victory in the 1977 London-Sydney marathon, the world’s toughest rally. Very nice plate, only having one number and one letter. Of course, plates from Szczecin are very very common in Berlin. But it's cool to see a nice plate that's not an individual one.

This is one of the rare re-issued diplomatic plates, denoted by the final A. These plates are issued when the original plate is stolen/lost etc. Usually, when a plate is lost or destroyed, this combination is blocked for a few years and you'll have to re-register to avoid fraud. This cannot be applied to diplomats, of course, where an ambassador won't register under a different number.
