Day 24
14th November 2010
Another rainy day! This is getting boring, I miss our lovely crisp, sunny autumn days! Pah!
Lunch out today at our local pub, Chap loved it because they've made a railway carriage into a dining cart and he had such fun!
This is our kitchen window sill, a prime dumping ground. Here you have some discarded paint brushes, a pot of cider chutney (unopened) and some tea light bokeh :)
Neil offered to drive the shit in our basement to the local rubbish tip, so we're here, finally getting rid of the old carpets and other stuff abandoned by the previous owners.
Whichever lazy, dirty moron dumped this here belongs in a skip themselves taken to a landfill site and buried alive. NO excuse for fly tipping ANY time, anywhere. DON'T blame everything on COVID!
Bramley Moore Dock, Liverpool. Probably connected with some hydraulic or steam-driven system for opening and closing the lock gates.
A month or two ago, JP and I were out looking for photo opps on a Sunday afternoon. He remembered seeing a sign about a scenic overlook and he said, "Hey, let's go to the dump!"
So we did! There's actually a scenic overlook at the top of the trash pile (which has been capped off, and now there's grass everywhere). There are picnic tables, those binocular thingies that you see at all the touristy places (only these are free!), and playground equipment. Who knew?!?
So when my mom was here last week, she insisted that we go so she could see it for herself.
