no, dump here...
such a funny place.
double exposure, one fisheye of the pavement arrow directing to the dump.
Goolwa dump Salvage shop had a fire during the night inside their shed. This is the outside of the shed.
I only just learned what a Dump cake is and decided to try making it. It is unbelievable easy but very shameful. Everything in the recipe is out of a box or a tin. The ingredients I used:
1 tin cherry pie filling
1 tin pineapple bits
1 box yellow cake mix
1 1/2 sticks of butter (extra shameful)
1/4 cup chopped pecans
The beauty of the cake is that there is hardly any work involved....you literally dump everything into the dish and bake it.
My family loved it as It was really delicious. I imagine it would be a great dessert to take to a pot luck and you could probably switch the fruit filling to suit your taste. However, I don't think I'll be making it too often....it's shameful and full of calories!
Off some logging roads in Naniamo while camping, me and a couple of friends found some one's Dump site.
Day 129 - Project 365:
A field immediately north of Sertoma Park has been acting as one of few locations where city workers have been dumping relocated snow piles.
I noticed on my way home on my lunch break that the piles of snow, combined with some of the bales of straw might make for a nice image. So, before returning to work, I attempted this.
I had to wade through some knee deep snow drifts, but I think it turned out fairly well, especially with the deep blue of our sky today. It turned into a gorgeous day, actually.

A month or two ago, JP and I were out looking for photo opps on a Sunday afternoon. He remembered seeing a sign about a scenic overlook and he said, "Hey, let's go to the dump!"
So we did! There's actually a scenic overlook at the top of the trash pile (which has been capped off, and now there's grass everywhere). There are picnic tables, those binocular thingies that you see at all the touristy places (only these are free!), and playground equipment. Who knew?!?
So when my mom was here last week, she insisted that we go so she could see it for herself.
