Due a relatively high demand for local grain throughout the late summer months, OneRail have been operating several services South-East of Adelaide to Tailem Bend and Wolseley. On some days, a second divison service has been implemented to help cope with the demand. In this image, 1283S empty grain train to Tailem Bend heads through Mile End with GWA007/ALF24/CLF6/G535 in the early evening light on the 12th of February 2021.

Il Monastero di Agìa Triada, ossia della Santa Trinità, fu eretto nel XVII secolo da due fratelli, ambedue monaci convertiti alla fede ortodossa, della famiglia veneziana Zangaroli. Il complesso fu eretto su una chiesa preesistente. La chiesa è un fabbricato di epoca veneziana a pianta cruciforme, con tre cupole. Quella più grande si trova all'intersezione delle navate, mentre quelle più piccole si trovano sul retro. Anche le due cappelle della chiesa sono completate da cupolette, come pure quella del Sotiras. La chiesa ha un ingresso con nartece situato ad angolo retto rispetto alla navata principale e di larghezza maggiore rispetto ad essa. La chiesa è dedicata alla Santa Trinità, mentre le due cappelle laterali sono dedicate a Agios Ioannis Pròdromos. La chiesa è un misto di arte occidentale nelle decorazioni, inserito in un esterno di stile bizantino. La facciata della chiesa è incorniciata da doppie colonne di stile ionico e corinzio.
The monastery of Agia Triada (Holy Trinity) was built in the seventeenth century by two brothers of the Venetian Zangaroli family, two monks who had converted to the Orthodox faith. It was built on top of a pre-existing church. The church itself is of Byzantine cruciform architecture with three domes. The larger one is at the intersection of the aisles, while the smaller domes are at the back. The two chapels of the church also have domes, as does the chapel of Sotiras which is independent of the church. The church has a narthex at the front which is at right angles to the main aisle and much wider than it. The main church is dedicated to the Agia Triada and the two side chapels to Agios Ioannis Prodromos. The church is a very good example of the heavy, decorative Western-style influence in the exterior decoration of Byzantine churches. The facade of the church has double columns of Ionic and Corinthian style

Due to Network Rails instructions to pair all Steam Tours with a diesel and the diesel to do all the hard work especially over gradients due to the fire risk ‘The Lakelander’ 1Z31 06:08 Rugby - Carlisle was hardly working as she climbed over Shap. As can be seen in this picture of 60532, 47593 was doing the lions share of the work passing Greenholme, not the display i was hoping for but still great to see Blue Peter.

Due to over enthusiastic little toes in this house recently I haven't been able to do a lot of knitting and I miss it. Today I decided I needed to find a solution to that enthusiasm so made up a little knitting nook for myself. All the yarn has been organized and put away, where it should remain tangle free, the knitting supplies have been moved in, a comfy chair and a foot stool is in place and even an old CD player set up for a bit if music while I work. And the best part of all....It is all behind a closed door where my little hurricane can't find me.
It's one thing to inherit a land with breathtaking vistas in every direction. It's a whole other thing to bejewel it with monuments of human creativity and ingenuity, like this magnificent duomo in the Umbrian countryside.

Nice coffee and food and a little hard to find - just as well it had a steady stream of customers while I was there.

Stavo cercando di riprendere la facciata del Duomo tra la folla, quando all'improvviso mi si sono parati davanti questi due giovani uomini. L'ho fotigrafati quindi involontariamente.
Mi colpisce l'espressione turbata del viso, che rispecchia un po' questi nostri tempi, così difficili.
Mi è venuto in mente questo titolo, che è il titolo di un romanzo di Andrea de Carlo e narra la storia di un'amicizia travagliata, che si svolge in un periodo della storia particolare, il '68 , ma resiste nel tempo.
Me l' aveva regalato parecchi anni fa una mia compagnia di scuola e cara amica. Che adesso non vedo da molti anni, avendo anche cambiato città

Due to a stuck switch, CSX U091 paused briefly at West Pineville in order for the conductor to reset it. After confirmation, CSX 329 splits the signal on its west (north) west towards Corbin, KY.
This is the view from my west balcony. The water tower is what I use to gauge how far north or south it is traveling as the seasons come and go. Im actually looking to the northwest.
At the height of summer the sun sets well to the right of the water tower. Two months later, as in this shot, it is to the left. And even later, during the dead of winter, the sun is completely off this frame to the far left. Probably off your monitor........lol.
As of today, the sun is still off your monitor but it is making its way north again. In due time, it will be June 21st again and the sun will be well to the right of the water tower once again.
And that will be Summer :-)

Due to the cancellation of 6V85 and some very late running services, tonight's work was taxiing, collecting locos and depot shunting and fuelling.
Having arrived back from Milford 66152 is secured on 5 Road. 66187 fuelled and about to be stabled. 66019 on 3 Road (would have been V85) Fuelled and ready for service.
the weather today has caused some delays to our services.
