An England flag in the murk and mire of Torquay harbour, Devon after our early World Cup departure. The act of a heartbroken fan perhaps?
Sometimes I am so on top of my life and nothing can hold me back. Other times I am drowning in my to-do lists.

There are seven species of pelicans in the world, all of which are similar in shape and, with one exception, are primarily white in colour. Males are larger than females. The most characteristic feature of pelicans is the elongated bill with its massive throat pouch. The bill is 40-50cm long and is larger in males than females.
Pelicans weigh 4.0-6.8kg, are 1.6-1.8m long. Pelicans have large wings and a wingspan of 2.3-2.5 m. They have an extremely light skeleton, weighing less than 10% of their total body weight.
Pelicans mainly eat fish, but they are opportunistic feeders and eat a variety of aquatic animals including crustaceans, tadpoles and turtles. They readily accept 'handouts' from humans, and a number of unusual items have been recorded in their diet. During periods of starvation, pelicans have been reported capturing and eating seagulls and ducklings. The gulls are held under water and drowned before being eaten headfirst. Pelicans will also rob other birds of their prey.

FARMER DROWNED
TRAGEDY AT RIVERHEAD
A farmer was drowned in the river at Riverhead yesterday afternoon. He was Mr. Allan Hugh Bell, aged 47, married, of Riverhead.
When the tide receded the police recovered the body below the main bridge. Evidence that Mr. Bell was seen walking toward the bridge shortly after 10 o'clock yesterday morning was given at an inquest held before the coroner, Mr. Alfred Addison, this morning. It was also stated that Mr. Bell had been in ill-health for some time, and had been off work since last May. The inquest was adjourned.

I feel bad for taking these and posting them, but these are photos from Mansfield Dam Park earlier this afternoon. A young man drowned between 2:00 and 3:00. Note all the emergency vehicles that responded to the scene.
The guy drowned in the little cove to the right side of the picture. You can see the sherrif's boat in the cove and several vehicles on land to the left.
