Today the new recruits had to practice using a sea jet near the abandoned temple ... disastrous! John got stuck in the sea weed, Sam almost hit Sara and Lisa even succeeded in crashing hers.
Helga was excused from todays lesson ... her hair did not fit our standard diving helmet ... we're still looking for a suitable replacement.

One of only five CN 4-6-4 Hudson's built (and one of two preserved), CN 5702 is seen out in the sun on a lovely summer afternoon. Relegated to 'b-status' in the hangar behind it for decades, it was being moved to the Angus Pavillion and entered it earlier this week. Featuring 80 inch drivers, these speedy class of locomotives routinely reached speeds of 100 mph in passenger service.

Bus 20 came off stagecarriage work about 2 months ago and has sat unused in the yard. Finally, it has become our Driver Training Vehicle.

Around 50 train drivers from different provinces assembled today in Misr Station, Ramses, shortly after 12 noon. The drivers denounced the results of the morning meeting held with the management, and threatened to block the 2pm Turbini train (the same one that was stopped the previous year).
The state-owned Railway Authorities told the drivers’ representatives that their demands to raise the incentives from 11pt to 25pt per kilometer, were rejected.
Following the protest, and the threat to block the trains, the chief of police in station negotiated with the drivers, who only suspended their assembly around 1:40pm, awaiting the results of another meeting promised by the govt on 24 November.
The drivers threatened to launch a strike on 25 November if their demands are not met.
