This Routemaster is trying to poke its nose into the light at Hammersmith Garage, on 13th of March,1982. Most of the Routemasters in London Country service were bought back by London Transport for further service, however, the RMC class were used as driver trainers such as RMC 1480, seen here still in London Country livery.

Driver boards for the ghostmatrix. On the right is the orginal driver board for the device I scavenged the linear stage from (some kind of protein assay autoloader). It has drivers for three stepper motor, only one of which I am using. On the left is a rotorboard, my custom AVR atmega168 prototyping board. It has a serial port to get data from a host computer, and generates logic control signals for the stepper motor drivers and sends serial data to the miniPOV light engine.
So I basically use the entire board on the right for two chips plus a power supply and a couple headers. All the brains are in the atmega on the left.

行程1. 野柳“Yehliu” (女王頭) 風化奇景
野柳奇景介紹
野柳岬
野柳的地層主要由傾斜的層狀沉積岩所組成，海岬與海灣的形成是因軟弱的岩層被侵蝕後凹入形成海灣，而堅硬、抗蝕力強的岩石便相對突出形成海岬。
遠眺野柳岬時，它就像隻烏龜般俯臥在海中，所以又稱為”野柳龜”。野柳早期為大陸帆船至基隆港貿易的必經航道
女王頭:
野柳的標誌女王頭是蕈狀岩的一種，在地殼抬升的過程中，因受到海水差異侵蝕而逐漸形成今日的面貌。若以其高度比對台灣北部地殼平均上升速度推算，女王頭的芳齡將近4000歲。其實女王頭就是蕈狀岩，在1962~1963年間因頂部結核上的節理斷裂，從某一角度觀看時貌似英國伊莉莎白女王頭像，因此而得名。
如此特別的形狀，使得女王頭自此成為野柳的地標，但也讓它飽受盛名之累。除了常年風吹、日曬、雨淋之外，遊客的不當行為也加速了侵蝕的速度，2008年量測頸圍最細的部份約為138公分。
行程2. 基隆廟口(最美位台灣小吃)
廟口小吃歷史
台灣各地有歷史的鄉土小吃區，大都伴隨位於市集、香火鼎盛的廟宇而產生，稱為廟口小吃。基隆奠濟宮的廟口小吃，更因有口皆碑，引來的食客多於香客，形成以美食取勝的的觀光區。
由於特殊的歷史原因，台灣的飲食文化非常豐富，以閩粵移民的飲食基礎，融入了原住民、荷蘭人、西班牙人、日本人的飲食，再加上1949年國民黨政府遷台時帶來中國各省的美食，以及台灣民生富裕後引進世界各國的美食。這些飲食，以及彼此之間融合與創新，形成東西並列、漢和雜陳外加鄉土味的台灣小吃。
台灣獨樹一幟的小吃文化，當時反映在台灣的重要港口--基隆，並且集中表現在基隆的市中心--廟口。基隆廟口小吃得到「種類之多，全台之冠」的美譽。
行程3. 南海奇岩
南雅海邊的巖石千奇百怪，可說是東北角最明顯的象徵，而神似彩繪的風化紋路更是南雅巖石最優美的特色，順著巖石層面的波紋，讓人想像起古世代的海水在你腳下流動的生命力。
由於山勢陡峭，所以海崖及海蝕風化巖最為發達，因為這一帶的巖層屬於大埔層砂巖，其海岸岩塊的垂直節理甚多，砂岩的特性為堅硬而不易受侵蝕，各層岩石的硬度與厚度不同，因此其受侵蝕的抗力、侵蝕速率也有所不同而產生造形奇特的地貌，而節理在風化侵蝕的作用下而形成了如針狀或柱狀的「岩峰」。其實濱海公路沿線有許多類似這種唯妙唯肖的奇石巨岩，在當年濱海公路修築工程中，從水湳洞、南雅到和美一段是開鑿山壁而成的，在炸山開路時也將許多山脈開鑿成美麗又奇怪形狀的岩石，讓你從各種不同的角度來觀察，都能產生許多美麗而生動的幻想。
行程4. 陰陽海
... 特殊在於它不同隅蔚藍海岸的黃褐顏色,黃藍相對映下,形成了北部聞名的「陰陽海」奇觀。 根據研,陰陽海的成因為酸礦排水,因金、銅、鐵礦在雨水、溪水及地下水等流到礦坑,與鐵細菌產生催化作用,形成硫酸亞鐵。 ...
行程5. 黃金瀑布
黃金瀑布位於台北縣瑞芳鎮的興村與梅蘭村之間，由於早期於瀑布小溪上游，為採銅礦之處，長年來因重金屬類礦砂沉積溪床作用之下，使其水質氧化而形成奇特的金黃色瀑布景觀，當地居民將其稱為『黃金瀑布』。
於黃金瀑布景觀處，可將鄰近的陰陽海其美麗的景致盡收眼底，也可從此處遠眺到整個金瓜石山城，如此遼闊的視野，總是吸引許多遊客們慕名到此賞景拍照留念。尤其每當夕陽西下時，在夕陽的餘暉照映之下，更為黃金瀑布添增三分色彩，使其看來金碧輝煌宛若一座黃金寶庫。
而平日於黃金瀑布，也會看見即將步入禮堂的新人到此此景拍攝婚紗照，藉由黃金瀑布的背景陪襯，使婚紗照看來更顯浪漫、唯美，和著新人們臉上幸福喜悅的表情，增添出濃烈的甜蜜感。若是您有空，不妨到此一遊。

九份位於新北市瑞芳區，是昔日台灣的採金礦中心，環山面海，擁有變化多端的山海美景，為一座小小的山城，保有著純樸的舊日生活風貌，但在金礦產業漸漸沒落之後，九份的輝煌時期便走向歷史；時至今日，由於觀光產業的興起，九份又恢復到以往的繁榮，在老街上處處是人聲鼎沸，忙碌的都市人在這裡找到一處可以放鬆心靈的地方。

九份的歷史發展根據《台北縣誌》上的文獻資料顯示，在清朝初年的時候這裡的村落只住了9戶人家，因此每當外出到市集購物或是貨船來到時每樣東西都是要九份，後來九份便自然而然地成為這裡的地名；清朝光緒19年(西元1893年)在九份地區發現砂金，淘金與採金的人潮便逐漸湧入此地，於是展開了淘金歷史，到了第二次世界大戰台灣光復後淘金熱潮減退，人潮也漸漸散去，終於在1971年正式結束開採。
九份老街的特色介紹
由於九份依舊保留著日據時代的舊式建築，其主要的景觀聚集在基山街，是九份最熱鬧的街道，土小吃芋仔蕃薯、九份第一家茶坊及九份文史工作室都設置於此，還有觀景台可以看九份的海景；豎崎路是特殊的丰」字道路，為九份的直向道路，絕無僅有的階梯路上有很多觀景茶館；輕便路上則有許多九份民宿，還有九份金礦城懷舊壁畫。

九份的懷舊氣息，自然而然的也承襲的許多美食，例如香Q有勁的芋圓，除了原有的地瓜、芋頭口味之外，還有特別的抹茶口味，冷熱皆宜喔；紅糟肉圓則以傳統古法製作內餡兒，搭配上軟嫩的外皮，味道恰如其分的醬料，在您口中形成絕妙的滋味；此外還有黑糖麻糬、豆腐乳、無鉛土皮蛋等等，都是相當美味的伴手禮喔！

I was clicking the sun-rise at Balgandharva square and from a distance I saw this driver sitting in his mini-van parked on the PMC road. The reflected light from the side mirror made me forget the rapidly rising Sun, I crossed the road on his side and...click-click....managed to get couple of shots before he noticed me. :)

Pretty chuffed with how it's turned out. And tests so far are very promising! Don't have any locos or track with me at the moment, but in about 4 weeks time I'm doing a show, so will put these through some intense testing.
