When Curious George meets Mr. Mannequin :). To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of charcoal. It's too thick for drawing details and smudges very easily.

My latest drawing. This one was a winning bid in an auction to help raise money for a huge vet bill for someone I know whose Lurcher sustained massive injuries running through trees. It's taken 4 months of repeated procedures and wearing a cone, but £6000 later and the dog has finally had the cone off for good. Thanks to the winning bidder and the positive side of social media I was able to make a small contribution. Happy Christmas!
Paintant Stories by Fabian Marcaccio - Casa Daros
Fabian Marcaccio was born in Argentina in 1963 and is now based in New York. He uses modern techniques in an attempt to redefine painting, extending its parameters in time and space. His Paintant Stories is in every way an exceptional work. Over a length of 100 meters the artist unfolds a universal panorama of contemporary existence, with all its contradictions and conflicts. Marcaccio presents the human condition as a network of discontinuities frozen at a single moment in time. Plunged into a series of microcosms and macrocosms, the viewer is simultaneously exposed to infinity and fragmentation, chaos and order, the concrete and the abstract. With our attention constantly being captured by a wide range of allusions and associations, we are unable to grasp this multifaceted work in its entirety.

April 25, 2008 [tex|ges]ture Drawing - compressed charcoal, oil pastel on butcher paper (96-inch x 36-inch). While listening to SoundGarden (Boot Camp) and Bjork (Pagan Poetry) and trying to map out my final thesis performance, the drawing disintegrated into another gestural exploration.
This is a pencil portrait of my mother, I was really dreading doing this portrait as my first attempt at drawing my mother was a disaster hence having to do another.
I am pleased with the result from this drawing and my mother actually likes it to which means a lot to me. Hope you like it.
