I liked Iceland so much that two years later I came back. On this occasion, I made my first photographic journey with Fran Llano and Foto Earth Travel. It was quite an experience, both personal and learning in photography.
Jökulsárlón ends at the Diamond Beach.
It is a beautiful black sand beach where you can see ice-cubes and crystals that are washed up from the sea, which is actually very beautiful especially at dawn, sunrise or sunset because then light illuminates the icebergs.

A captivating scene featuring a rustic barn set against a stunning sky painted in shades of warm gold and soft lavender. The long dirt path leading to the barn adds depth, while the surrounding fields and trees frame the peaceful countryside. The blurred clouds evoke a sense of motion, creating a dreamlike atmosphere that beautifully captures the essence of tranquility and nature's beauty.

Whether a storm chaser or weather watcher, these groups know when a thunderstorm forms during blue hour as the twilight fades and the stars come out, the skies can't get any better.

Two icons of the Pacific Northwest cross paths at twilight - Mount Rainier and a Washington State ferry. This shot took a lot of planning and timing, and after months of waiting for the right time we got there only to find a giant container ship sitting in front of the mountain! Fortunately, the ferry was big enough to almost entirely cover up the container ship as it passed. The image is a bit noisy as the ferry ended up behind schedule and showed up 15 minutes late so I had to really jack up my ISO as I was shooting with a long lens at a moving object at low light.

FIELDS OF GOLD.... What's at the end of your rainbow? Potentially a trunk load of gold in a jumbo sized pot!
We found this mid-sized female African Elephant at the end of a rainbow hanging over the Masai Mara Reserve, Kenya. I'm excited to be taking another group of photographers out there in Oct/Nov next year as the clouds and storms begin to return!
The storm clouds can start building in the afternoon and dramatic rainbows like this can occur with rain showers to the east but clear patches of sky to the west. This rainbow hung around for about 10 minutes before the sun was obscured by clouds. We raced to find this lone elephant before it completely disappeared.
I'm sure the elephant could see the rainbow, but she was primarily concerned about eating more food. She never stopped munching the entire time we were there.
For wildlife shots like this, it's not just luck. It's about reading the weather and knowing where to go when conditions like this develop to get the best opportunities.

Während vorne an der Tölzer Hütte der Nebel aus dem Risstal emporkroch, entlud sich südlich über dem Karwendel-Hauptkamm ein heftiges Gewitter....ich stand zum Glück geschützt unter'm Dach...
While the fog crept up from the Risstal valley in front of the Tölzer Hütte, a violent thunderstorm af 😆 erupted south over the main Karwendel ridge.... luckily I was sheltered under the roof...

The sun dips into the sea like a whispered farewell, leaving the sky ablaze with emotion. Each cloud seems painted in haste, yet with purpose—like nature couldn't hold it in any longer. A drama in gold, fire, and fading light. ðŸŽðŸŒ…
Lanzarote was probably the first Canary Island to be settled. The Phoenicians may have settled there around 1100 BC, though no material evidence survives. The Greek writers and philosophers Herodotus, Plato and Plutarch described the garden of the Hesperides, a mythic orchard at the far West of the world, which some like to identify with the Canaries.
The island has a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve protected site status.
It was born through fiery eruptions and has solidified lava streams as well as extravagant rock formations. The island emerged about 15 million years ago as product of the Canary hotspot. Alfred Wegener's study of the island while visiting in 1912 showed how it fitted in with his theory of continental drift.
The island, along with others, emerged after the break-up of the African and the American continental plates. The greatest recorded eruptions occurred between 1730 and 1736 in the area now designated Timanfaya National Park.
A serene fjord stretches under a moody sky, embraced by forest-clad mountains and a rocky shoreline. The stillness of the water mirrors the tranquility of untouched Nordic wilderness.

Rabindranath Tagore (1861 – 1941) is best known as a poet a bengali( Indian), and in 1913 was the first non-European writer to be awarded the Nobel Prize for a notable work of poetry called Gitanjali: Song Offerings (Macmillan, 1912), for which he received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913.. He was a school dropout as he felt stifled within the classroom and found himself unable to think and felt claustrophobic within the four walls of a classroom."
Rabindranath Tagore toured Java in the year 1927 accompanied by eminent architect Surendra Nath Kar. Later, when Tagore decided to establish another house at 'Uttarayan' complex, Surendra Nath applied the architectural form of Java on that house and Tagore's son Rathindra Nath took the whole charge of construction of that house. Japanese artist Kono Shuson decorated this house. Tagore named it "UDAYAN". The construction work went till the year 1938.
Udayan is the most imposing house in the Uttarayan complex. It is meant for important guests visiting Santiniketan. Each suite in Udayan is on a different level which gives this house its individuality. In 2013, Visva Bharati opened a museum Guha Ghar, in the Uttarayan complex, in memory of Rathindranath Tagore.
